Are you the worst Sakura Player? Vent here

if u play boxer and your fighting a sakura and they go for a mix up just ex dash much and with your armor u will run them over.

goddamn jobless players, don’t have shit to do but sit at home and practice so that they fuck up my day when I wanna play on my lunch hour…

Whenver I play sakura against Rose its like she can read my mind. the millisecond I jump SOUL THROW. When my ex hurricane Kick misses the last hit, SOUL SPIRAL. When I hadouken to catch them as they land SOUL REFLECT INTO THE FUCKING AIR TO HIT ME DURING MY OTOSHI

AAAARGH!

i hate that chick. she can just back dash all day with out consequence, throw fireballs and wait for us to make a mistake.

I just started using Sakura for a couple of months on the 360 controller on the PC. I’m saving up/waiting for TE sticks to get cheaper so I can play with the right tool for the game. It maybe because I’m using the 360 controller, but I have frustrations playing with sakura. I feel like I am seriously held back because of it, I cant execute properly, cancel, space, zone, etc. I’m only playing with the controller now just so I can get used to her playstyle and get “practice” in so I can hop onto the stick and practice it and start getting back on track with getting better with her.

My tag on PC is CyberJo0

woooo. first G1 championship win. was sweating like a pig lol.

finally got a TE stick, and now I suck again with Sakura. XP I need practice with the TE…

I recently switched out the oct-gate with the old square-gate in my SE stick, not sure it really helped

From what I’ve noticed certain things are easier with either one:
Square-gate: DF D DF, SPD and motions ending with (U) in it (Instant Cannon Strike, Hooligan combo, Chicken wing)
Oct-gate: circular motions quickly, especially super and ultra

So either way I’m screwed really  Might put the Oct-gate back in since circular motions are more important to me than SPD motions

I put down this game for three days to finish Arkham Asylum and when I picked back up again all my skills had faded to nothing. I lost a 100 points in G1 after losing every match I played for an hour or more.

i suggest just using the brain and thinking how microswitches work. (only down and back motion needed straight diagonal movement actually needed)
i maybe a circle gate would be better, but i am gonna stay now with standard hardware (square and balltop) cause it is most common i think.

it is much easier do switch high low blocking for example, that is always bad with octo because of the angle.
at beginning with stick i couldn’t properly use circle motions, was much easier with octo, but now after months with octo it seems really easy with square.
Only problem as said are the quick ultra motions. often getting jumpback while trying the ultra motion. again because now the restricting angle is missing.

I earlier i would hit 95% of all ultras from any angle and heigh properly, now it becomes really hard to get the proper timing down again^^

I’m just having a worse time with the square gate then I was with the oct gate, think I’ll put the oct back in.

My execution will never be perfect, or close to it, I just need to use whichever tool allows me to make less mistakes.

well i stick to square, the force sometimes needed to move the stick is too much for me with octo, square feels much more loose, what gives me more flexibilty and better reaction time.

btw, did ya guys know we can combo into ultra from a j.hk? never was sure but it works, may be hitconfirmble.

can anyone tell me if blocked j.hk has enough blockstun to keep them in a blockstring? also something i never am really sure of.

Old news :stuck_out_tongue: It needs to be very deep so no way you can really hit confirm it, the damage difference is pretty minimal either so there’s no reason to use it on a stun where a bare Ultra would probably be better. Only reason I can see using it is if you just jumped over a fireball so know it’ll hit (no meter for EX Shunpuu or want to save it).

If you hit the j.HK late enough it might be enough block stun to stop them from jumping at least, I don’t think it’ll be quick enough to keep them blocking but dunno. Try it out

i ask cause i often to tend to go for the finish j.hk -> chip ultra

j.hk>ultra was my first way of comboing into it.c.mk>super was my first way of comboing super too. I found them both very hard to do back then. Now I never even think to do them that way =/

What a horrible night. Haven’t been beaten by so many kens and akuma’s in 30 minutes. God I hate those two :expressionless:

/rant

I hate Blanka and Gief more than anyone else. Even the crappy ones beat me. Electricity and Lariat spam. I hate the giefs that walk up to you when you are knocked down. Its almost impossible to get away without loosing 70% of your health first!

I agree. My worst match up has to be Akuma though. he can just zone the crap out of you and there’s nothing you can do.

Actually my worst match ups are against charge characters, especially Boxer, Dictator and Claw, I’m actually better against Shotos like Ryu, Ken, Dan, Gouken, and Gouki.

Was playing earlier while listening to Journey on my Xbox…beat some 60k GP players.

Can’t lose while listening to Journey man. I should bring an Ipod with some Journey tracks on it if I ever go to a tourney.
