Arcade SSF4 Bison: What tweaks or changes would you want to see?

It doesn’t have to be juggle into Ultra. I don’t even know how they could give Bison something consistent or a setup TBH other than Focus Crumples or jumps. I guess that’s supposed to be good enough?

Like with the example I gave with statistical damage portions… maybe just give him one new normal that could be used to get in… a damn overhead. :frowning:

Make his cr. HP juggle on anti air hits or something. That could be viable.

make st. strong link to cl. fierce or the other way around… and well call it even

What kind of advantage does that provide? I could see some more variation in link combos, but is that it, or am I missing some hidden gain from that situation?

your damn right you are the only one happy, what a garb character we have all choosen. He needs some conntrolllable electic fbs, and invicible PC. and the fastest fb punish ultra in the game!!! oh yeah i can’t forget i need an overhead to win, so lets add that too

i will honestly think twice about maining Bison if they decide to make his ultra a charge instead. WAY too easy to bait out as is, and now you want to make it even EASIER???

Seriously, just leave it as it is, unless you plan on fixing his TRULY broken moves as well, or giving us access to BOTH ultras

naw im just learning to mp to ultra 1 now, it’s hella fun, more fun than throw to ultra 2. its not as good but its more rewarding.

I heard that all forms of sk are going to cover more distance from someone who visited TGS. This would also mean that light version of the sk will push you back more effectively eliminated sk loops with low short and mean that low forward now has to be used instead. Has anyone else heard this?

They could tweak all sorts of shit that’ll make him better to play. Better pushback would be awesome too. I definitely don’t want to eat a Spinning Pile Driver or Typhoon slam after a blocked LK Knee Press.

Why are they nerfing him, why not rufus or ryu or rose? Its super gay to learn a game and then a company change it all up. Thats how games die! People want things better not nerfed. All this damn nerfing makes me angry! ANGRY!

Odd. If anything I would think it’d be better to have less pushback. Would be kinda broken against certain characters though. Scissor loops for days.

I’m sure everyone notices you can’t c.LK xx LK Knee Press forever on block, there’s always a shift. Hell, put Bison few pixels outside of Typhoon/SPD range after it and allow continuous c.LK xx LK Knee Press, that’s all I want. Right now it’s more like two or three loops starting with c.LK pushes you out too far and you have to resort to c.MK and c.MP.

They actually did increase the push back on scissor kicks in the original SF4 beta. It was considered a nerf because Bison was slowly pushed out of range (as it works now).

Or they could nerf the throwbox on LP/EX SPD/Typhoon.

,st. rh - Once again, no. In my opinion his st.RH was nerfed for Super. I know many people prefer this one but I don’t. Plus why nerf st.RH? It whiffs on most crouching opponents and is an okay but not fully reliable anti-air against certain jump-ins

I agree with the previous statement about Bison being nerfed vs other characters. I agree that certain characters have fucking AWFUL matchups vs Bison (Ibuki and Cody come to mind), but it seems to me he is being nerfed because he went to one of the top tiers too quickly. Man, Ryu, Rufus, Akuma, Chun Li, and Bison are probably the top 5 in my opinion in the game. And it’s probably one of the best top 5’s in Street Fighting history. People can bitch about all their other characters, but right now, I feel that Bison, even with his flaws, is probably RIGHT where he needs to be. Taking away his command ultra is just a bitch move PERIOD.

Just boost other characters, and leave him the fuck alone. The characters who are stronger than him are still better than him, or at least somewhat equal. most of his matchups are 5-5, or not in his advantage. WHY FUCK WITH THAT??? Seriously, if they make it a charge ultra for sure, Guile matchups will be a fucking nightmare, period

I’ll agree Cody is probably 6-4. Against Ibuki though, I’d say is fairly even for both sides. Ibuki is probably the best character they added to Super.
