Arcade SSF4 Bison: What tweaks or changes would you want to see?

ToD combos.

even EASIER cLK x3 combo…seriously, make that shit Cody/Rog level of easyness
faster cHP
ALL skull diver’s should be comboable (not just ex) after any AA HS (not just ex)
GET RID OF THE FUCKING NEUTRAL JUMP MP
more priority on some of his jump normals
either allow his back teleport to ACTUALLY get some decent distance, or give him a slightly better backdash
and the NUMERO UNO THING:

better tracking on HS can’t be stressed enough…whine all you want, but that shit is fucking horrible. I literally just don’t use it anymore, its gotten that bad :frowning:

every move bison has is easily punishable or leaves him massively vulnerable. HS can be SRK’d or WALKED away from, DR is either focused or countered, PC is disastrous on block, and skull diver is a fucking cruel joke.

and that’s not counting the fact his cMK got nerfed (although I did manage to win a match only using cMK and SK last night), and his AA is awful, and the priority on his air to air normals is probably the worst in the game

edit: that being said, I would NOT be surprised to see Bison get nerfed (or other characters are gonna NEED to get boosted)

Damn Soviet… need to vent a little? Seriously though everything you are talking about can be fixed or controlled by proper spacing, and reading your opponent well. And Bison owns air to air against alot of the cast. If you jump second, j.mp destroys practically everyone air to air.

Fix the range of BnBs that hit against most of the cast but not against 'Rog, Guy etc. (cr.lp, st.lk, cr.mk; and occasionally cr.lkX3). Make it as subtle as possible.

An overhead would be nice.

Include tutorial that specifically details how to beat good Guiles using Akuma.

He’s pretty damn good already.

Neutral J.mp or forward jump J.mp? I’m interested in a good air to air strategy, since I don’t know any good ones.

A faster more vertical less horizontal c.hp. More PC and or SK priority.

I feel like Capcom gave us this gift of making our character generally pretty damn good compared to vanilla and everyone is still complaining that he isn’t good enough, and they are gonna nerf him to spite us all!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Better hitbox on Skulldiver please.

Maybe sort the hitbox on his crouching shorts because hitting Guy with them is a bitch on a crossover.

That isn’t a problem with his shorts hitbox thats a problem with Guy’s hitboxes, I have the same problems with rog half the time on a crossup because his lower hitbox is weird.

I know it’s Guy’s hitbox. I dunno, I’m probably asking too much for his cr.short hitbox to be changed to accomodate it. Though it would be easier to make Guy’s hitbox bigger.

I posted in the general discussion thread already, but I’ll repeat here. I just want his devil reverse and skull crusher to be tweaked. Fix the fact that he can be easily swept out of both of them. And as many others have said…CAPE!!!

Just a faster low fierce and better headstomp tracking(it is pretty pathetic).

light version PC can be faster with start frame, so shoto jump in can eat my PC rather than I eat Ryu’s feet on my face, and that, will make Bison such a beast.

What do you guys think of making pc a solid reversal without meter (i.e. faster start-up)? It would give him an extremely punishable option but I think it’s a tool he could use. That or make SK unsweepable. I just find that shit infuriating.

i wish they’d do something to boost bison but i really don’t think they will. i am currently bracing myself for the nerf stick

Better Headstomp. Faster, and people shouldn’t be able to simply walk backwards to avoid it. Backdash invincibility should keep it effective though.
Skulldiver Crossup, better hitbox.
Better recovery on empty DR, I want it to be equal to an empty jump D; Faster
Better hitbox on j.MP
Faster startup and/or recovery on LP PC so that we can use it effectively as a reversal bait for Crossup PC setups but still use it in the LP PC only Crossup setups. Example j.mp, s.HP xx LP PC crossup
Slightly faster c.HP, maybe by 3 frames (scratch this, c.HP is fine)
1 or 2 more frames of advantage on Scissors kick FADC making it easier to link c.LP It sucks that all of Bisons FADC combos are riddled with 1frame links like FADC, c.lp or c.lk, c.lp or c.lk, s.lk

Though Bison is pretty baller without any of this.

Put a damn block stance box on headstomp. Although the airborne scissors kick sounds good, I’m tired of getting sweeped out of stuff.

And pray we don’t get beat by the nerf stick…Sagat got hit hard by it, and now has scars from it and Ryu.

Like I said early, just faster start up and invincible frame when L.PC can start as SRK, that is enough to make bison to even higher tier.

because dash back can’t do PC, and EX SK is too risky, if PC have invincible frame believe me people will abuse SHT out of it, so Light Version will be only one be suitable since major problem now is jump in, not fireball or other stuff.

SSF4 bison is pretty balance:
-good s.HP into c.lk link
-good ultra 2, no charge needed.
-nerf normal, I can live with it
-nerf HS, well never spam it or just wait for EX.
-better PC than vanilla!

if SK can go through projectile in close range will be even better (very close)

and easier against guile, flash kick vs PC trade, OMG I AM LOV’IN IT!

It would be nice if scissor kicks started out airborn. Getting swept and thrown out of the start up is so lame. Especially considering how short the range is now on a light scissor kick I think It’d be fair to give it more airborn frames.
