You’ve been too caught up with your flavors of the month yo! He does indeed do his cut-throat animation for his wins every now and then, that last patch was the greatest thing to happen to SSF4.
That would be a whole bunch of alright buffs for Bison. An overhead is never going to happen though.
Of course the dude isn’t going to be favored so well, nerfs are going to be coming in. I see MK/HK/EX SK’s, non ex PC’s, and PP recovery on block being heavily increased*. PP being changed to charge (start up buff to compensate) is probably likely. (Loc Test info)
More push back to st.hk on block could happen, though isn’t as probable as the above.
*Cammy’s spike and Blanka ball nerfs, I feel, caters to the casual crowd. These nerfs to Bison would be along the same lines without really affecting higher level play.

-U2 charge and bigger recovery
-Psycho Crossup dealing half psycho damage
Rog and Chun didnt get many nerfs. Maybe that means something
Ugh, I hope we get a tradeoff. I don’t know what they can do that might SLIGHTLY nerf Bison, but he could use so many little things.
Here’s something I’d like: +1 after blocked scissor kick.
I know, it’s pretty much free pressure, but the opponent almost already had to block after scissor kick anyway and if it’s Bison’s best/main tool, why not let him do it for two reps of blocked damage instead of having him get beat out/trade with Chun/Ryu/Balrog, etc.? It’d still lose to reversals too.
Rog’s standing jab whiffing on everybody crouching is pretty huge. Imagine if Bison’s st. roundhouse didn’t whiff at max range.
I’m open to tradeoffs as long as they make Bison’s gameplay more varied.
A few changes I would like to see.
Skull Diver should be able to cross over. Faster start up and a few more active frames. I don’t mind it having crap priority though.
Ex.Headpress, totally throw invincible until it hits or lands.
No landing recovery on empty Devils Reverse.
No landing recovery on landing from a blocked or hitting Headpress.
Full strength cross up Psycho Crushers.
B+HP performs his close hard punch.
Although honestly I see him getting nerfs and a few minor obscure buffs that no Bison player is currently asking for.
man if there was a way for ex teleport this would be awesome!
Oh, and Knee Press to armor break on first hit. Fuck you.
I like how everyone is hoping for buffs. If anything, Capcom is going to nerf the Dictator, or he is going to get Vipered. Not sure if I would mind that, because he is very solid as of now. The only thing keeping Bison in check right now are the top tiers like Guile, Honda, Chun Li and Balrog.
He’s probably gonna get 2 or 3 changes that will indirectly make some things better or worse. Bet on it.
More like whats keeping him in check is people who actually know the matchup. Unless your one of the ones he stomps regularly.
Back on topic in my case what I want is this:
-far standing hp removed, replaced with the close version the far version might be able to do damage but its so slow that I am more likely to use st.mp, plus st.cl.hp is our best AA option…that we almost never get to use as such simply because of how close they have to be for the change to happen
-teleport made not horrible, should be punishable but shouldn’t be as easy to punish as it is now
-if they are making U2 a charge ultra, reduce the startup time by a lot, you can increase the recovery if it doesn’t hit or on block
-make U1 startup a little faster
-more priority on j.mp or give us a decent way to combo into our ultras aka not off a jumping attack
-doubt this’ll happen because of all the scrubs whining but better tracking on headstomp, make it so they actually have to think and dash to avoid not walk back a step or two, I am fine with the move having a counter but simply walking shouldn’t be it
-cr.hp starting up a little faster would be nice
Doubt I am gonna get any of this though.
Ah, these lists. I know Christmas is coming, but damn.
Let’s face it, Capcom is afraid of any character having anything that might even remotely be “too good.” If Bison gets any buffs they will be minor changes to normals that maybe make a couple combos easier/possible.

Lower jump. Why is Bisons jump so floaty? I would like his jump to be like Rogs. This would dramatically affect the Guile match for the good.

Faster low fierce. 6 or 7 frames instead of 12 which is pathetically slow.

You guys think a faster c.HP is going to be useful? I think if it’s 6-7f start up, it will start trading hits as much as s.HK because of the response time 99% of us are using s.HK to anti-air shit.
^a faster c.fierce would be very good. it covers angles cleanly where incoming attacks would trade or beat s.rh
jumping shoto rh comes to mind. c.fierce will beat that shit clean but you have to time it well because of the piss poor start up. beating sagat’s jumping strong would also be affected
kind of the same way with chun li, where she has different normals to AA depending on the angles and distance the opponents are coming at her
i try to use my c.fierce here and there since i can cancel and confuse people with it. it’s a nice tool that could be better.
Sometimes I wish you could super cancel off psycho crusher for all five hits. Bison could then whiff punish easy for 500 damage.

Bison’s cr.HP doesn’t beat shoto j.HK clean at all. It still trades especially when it’s deep. The hit boxes are still there. And the funny thing is it will trade on a more variable level because the hit box for Bison moves from down to up.
It ^^ it beats their j hp which otherwise seems to always beat S.hk.
If they got rid of far fp that would be an amazing buff. Best anti air and counterhit setups could be done a few pixels further back.
crouch fp being faster would be nice. If instead of reducing startup a lot they took a tad of startup and made the recovery much better itd be a very good poke.
