Yea, for me I’ve been doing an exchange from Wolverine into Wesker. Basically a simple combo of:
s.:l:s.~s.:l:s.:h: xx drill-claw ~ dive-kick s. s.:h: s.:s: ^ j. j. j.:h: xx drill-claw ~ j.:s: Aerial Exchange (into Wesker) :h: teleport, s.:h: (both hits) s.:s: ^ j. j.
and I try to do either another j.:h: or j.:s: and they fall out (testing this on Capt. America).
But what I’m thinking of doing is after the exchange trying something like:
Everyone here has some pretty solid Wesker teams, mine is Wesker/Magneto/Doom. The usual set up is shot/beam/rocks, but the reason I like this team is the fact that all three can play any role on the team. Either point, user, assist/anchor. With Wesker on point I have more mix up options with both doom and mag alive, and just they have excellent synergy all around.
I run the same team but with Magneto on point instead. I put him there since his throw game is so sick-- a throw at a start of the match instantly puts the momentum in your favor. Mag to Wes also starts the DHC from the hyper grav loop. what assist for doom are you using? I’m watching clockwork’s vids and missiles don’t seem as bad as I think they are, but I’m using the rocks for now.
I came on here to ask what kind of cool tricks wesker has with Magneto’s beam and then, ta da, look at the above two posters! So if you guys don’t mind, any good stuff I should know? (messin with Wesk Dorm Mag). Got my Dorm + Mag stuff down, but not being dirty enough with Wesk+Mag
I want to point out that Wesker makes a great partner for MODOK. His low assist creates unblockables easily, and they both can start or end the DHC glitch.
Mag/Wes/Sen now. it’s godlike. wesker and mags both make great use of the drones for their mixup games. blocked drones = free mixups with teleport or tick throw into his command grab, which can DHC glitch to mags or sentinel if you want. if anyone runs Mag/Wes like me, what setups are you guys using in conjunction with mags’ em disruptah assist?
xxx, Wesker, Magneto works really well for me. Disruptor assist works wonders for extending combos, and helps with mix ups and cross ups. Wesker also helps set up unblockables with Gun assist.
I’ve tried several different people in lead, all of them have worked quite well for me. I’ve tried Dorm, Dante, Taskmaster, Wolvie, and I plan on trying Spiderman soon.
New teams for me
Dormammu/Dante/Wesker~ Wesker as an anchor usually unless its wolvie I’m fighting. Unblockables and extensions all day

Magneto/Dormammu/Wesker… depends on the team I’m fighting but you can see how it works by watching Sanford/Masta CJ play this team
I personally Identify this team with Empire players cause it seems like most of them have a Magneto/Wesker pairing on their team
Drop some hits that you don’t absolutely need to keep the combo going - in this case, probably omit the second :l:, and only use one j. per air string.
what I like about this particular team is the fact that I could interchange them depending on the matchup situation. But my main unit is Wesker (gun) Magneto (beam) Doom (rocks)
Wesker is pretty much my best character followed by Doom?Magneto equally Magneto’s beam stops any annoying beam projectile assist that can out zone Wesker. add that with a quick jumping gun shot it keeps them in place long enough for me to get in and do some work.
Hello guys, considering how much I hated wesker when the game launched I cannot believe I am posting here. Anyway, picked him up last night for the heck of it and have been having a blast playing him. My current team is wesker/storm/amateratsu with the obvious assist in shot/whirlwind/cold star. Right now it seems pretty solid, but I haven’t play tested it proper against competent opponents yet. Wesker is my battery, plus due to his health he is less likely to die of an opening throw into some nonsense, and overall I just feel safer with him on point. Storm is second since she has more uses for meter than wesker with 2 really good level 1’s and all and ammy is on anchor cause even though her assist is worse, I feel safer with her on anchor than with akuma(my original anchor) and of my 3 characters she has the least bad match-ups and needs assists the least. Plus it allows me to blow x-factor on any of my characters and not feel like I short changed my anchor or anything.
So what do you guys think? No, Im not putting storm on point to take advantage of the dhc glitch, I feel my team is much more solid this way and quite frankly unless Im in tourneys I don’t even use the glitch anyway.
Wesker/Wolverine/Akuma… team Scrub MvC3 editon (best battery/best burner with TC>>Air Fatal Claw loop) and hurp durp assist as well as a decent anchor.
Only way to make that team better is to put magneto’s DHC glitch BS in front of it instead of Weskers Tank health and combo into the best 6 way mixup the game has to offer)
I currently use Wesker/Doctor doom/sentinel…(lots of wesker X sentinel teams, am I right? :E ) but Imma switch doc with tasky. I’ve been quite nasty wit da tasky.

In mvc3 I relied on akumas tatsu assist after otg gun to extend the combo. In umvc3, akumas tatsu knocks the character higher and your opponent recovers.
Today I’m trying PW/Wes/Doom. Once I get PW in turnabout mode, I’ll bring in wesker. PW’s pressing the witness assist is awesome in turnabout mode, and of my Wesker dies, then I should have giant blue fingers and the best lvl3 in the game to use.
Trying Wesker Hawkeye Spencer, hawkeyes triple arrow works just as well as any beam assist do to how fast it is and it adds a lot of damage to combos, spencers grapple gives wesker a whole new suite of mixups to play with. its basically a battery/battery with meter burning potential with gimlets to punish literally anything/most broken anchor in the game currently
I ran Wesker Spencer Morrigan in vanilla, and have been messing around with Wesker/Spencer/ Nova and Wesker/Spencer/Strider, but in messing around I’ve discovered how good Hawkeye could be as an anchor on that team as well. I don’t want to get to him until I’ve played with Nova and Strider a bit more, but I’d definitely love to hear what kind of synergies you discover with Hawkeye there, as I think that might wind up being the best combination out of the three. I was definitely sleeping on Hawkeye before release, and after just glimpses of what he can do, he definitely seems super strong, and possibly right up my alley. Plus he seems less execution heavy than Nova or Strider, which I love. I like my team to only have one character I need to worry about execution with (which I guess is Spencer).
