I don’t play Jill but that video showing how Jill can “get in” on zoning was almost troll status. I can’t stop laughing.
There is absolutely nothing troll like about it, lol… You will get closer to your opponent by sliding or jumping forward which is ultimately where you want to be. In my 1000 games of Jill I have never been zoned by anything other than Morrigan and sometimes Zero when I panic.

I have to agree though, Magneto and Dorm out zone Jill for free, especially if they have missiles or they counter your strider with another strider. Shit is disgusting and trust me I know, when I played this game competitively even if you have hulk and missiles it’s still hard to get in on them cause Jill and Hulk have similar problems. A large part of this game revolves around counter picking as well. If they have problems rushing me down or getting one touched by Hulk they counter
my team hard with a top tier zoning team. So with that said, I can’t say what Volth said was valid. I’ve mained Jill since vanilla and I win the majority of my matches, but even then someone who knows what he’s doing with Mags and Magneto will zone you out for free, especially if they play F Champs team Magneto/Dorm/Doom.
Well I never said Magneto and assists or Dorm and assist. I appreciate your post tho. And tho I agree it would definitely be hard it’s not impossible to beat even with assists. Your post makes sense tho and it looks like you took the time to read so I thank you.
If you ever played Pigg and I have (gosh dat MODOK) than you would feel me even more, lol. His modok is so good, no wonder he was able to do so well against fanatic and knives. One on one though Mags still has the major advantage because of repulsion, disrupter (why did they nerf her slide range? WTF?, im still salty about that lol), magnetic blast and flight. Your more likely to play against a Mag anchor than a Dorm anchor is also what I’m trying to imply, cause he is much better in the second slot which you will see most seasoned players place him. Mags can take to the skies and thats not good for a one on one battle. If you have strider than its in your favor. One on one it will be hell especially if you play someone near or on fanatics level. They won’t rush you down cause they don’t need or have too unless there is a serious life lead on Jills part. Getting in on Modok and drones or Modok and Vajara should be a Olympic event.
Ya… I wouldn’t run Jill aside from anchor. I have Dorm as first character so he’s good against spammers/assists. Lucky for me he’s good against Morrigan and Modok :P.
Although I do feel it’s in Magneto’s favor, I still question it. She can chase him down if he takes the skies. Fly dash cancel halfway across the map takes more than roundhouse cancel into feral crouch and put him in a mix up on the way down. Avoiding disrupters isn’t hard for me (yes vs an actual player lol). Magnetic blast doesn’t seem that great without assist. And if they try to rush me down they just might meet a somersault to t he face. I’ll try to find some good Mags to help me figure it out. I still need to put more work on my Jill. I’ve seen a crazy Jill online that destroy me. Last we played he was 1st Lord running Team resident evil. Can’t remember his name tho.
I feel Jill is really bad in the anchor slot as well, against a real opponent though they wouldn’t use predictable variations of disrupter or gamma wave. A dorm with Magneto or Doom would out zone that team for free imo. I’m not a fan of dormmamu first either, but thats your call. Your assists don’t help dormmamu much either so modok would rush him down for free as well. If you played a skilled Modok you would know were I’m coming from. Modok always has a good assist to help him and the team you main has none of the above.
Imo since NSR is the better player you should heed his advice especially since he has been playing Jill much longer than you and knows much more about Jill than you as well. As long as he has been playing he would know a thing or about a thing or two concerning match ups.

Jill is a point character only. With SOME teams you can play her second, but she’s mainly a point character. I’ll say it again, I’ll keep saying it, She is ASS on anchor.
This is the main problem with “Online warriors”. They take their scrubby ass wins from online and try to make implications because of it.

So you’d rather me have dorm on second so I’d have 2 mediocre assist (jill/dorm)? Jill helps dorm if he’s getting rushed she can use CrossoverCounter. No reason to hinder me futher by having 2 useless assist. Dorm punishes assist full screen and leaves you at a frame advantage if they guard. His pillar doesn’t go away even if you are hit. There are better rushdown charcters than modok so although he might catch me by surprise I can learn to deal with him. Gamma wave is a joke and should never even chip you. Disrupters can be avoided on reaction whether they are random or not. They will be expected full screen because what else is Magneto going to full screen? Mid screen he can be punished so I doubt they’d risk it. You have never seen my Jill so I’m surprised you would say his Jill is better than mine. And just because someone has been playing her longer doesn’t say anything unless of course I just started playing her recently but that is not the case. And not going to bother reading his posts, I’m sure they’re full of insults, from what I can see where I’m typing he’s attempting to ridicule me yet again. You seem to have made up your mind already, not going to try and change it.

Repulsion doesn’t do damage magnetic blasts have to land on her and you can chase magneto when he’s on flight. I don’t know how many more times I have to tell you. Slide and Jumping avoid Disrupters on reaction and I think I’ve kept MGS out of this for the most part not sure why it keeps getting brought up. As I said magneto wouldn’t do a mid screen disrupter, not sure what the point of that was. I already stated Magneto probably has the upper hand but it ought to be further investigated. You claiming his Jill is better than mine is nothing but an assumption with no actual backing.
