So he can make some videos.
Here’s what spaceInvaders wrote when he unlocked it:
“well i was just playing Alpha 2 96/04/30 ver and finished it with Evil Ryu and unlocked secret game 4, this unlocks Hyper SF Alpha, basically just like HyperSF you can play any Alpha game version against each other, i just tried Guile vs Alpha 1 Ken! ill keep playing see if there is more!”
is a2 based on the console version?
because me and my friend just played rose vs rose and during soul illusion, all her jump kicks wer her j.mk in soul illusion mode and all her jumping punches were j. mps during soul illusion
in the A3, can you connect 3 Lvl.1 Shoryuken vacuums(qcf, qcf+lk), should add up to 28+ hits and end it off with a HP shoryuken?
OMG Capcom. This is great news.
Well, I just got finished playing a copy of SFZ:FG with no memory card data (brand new game save) and found out there is still one problem. I didn’t test it in the match, but A-Sim’s leg went through a standing A-Ryu in training mode, distance didn’t matter. I didn’t have a way to test the other versions of A3, so I dunno if it can be changed in the dip settings, but default it goes through.
PSX, test to see if it’s like that on your copy on default, then with the different arcade dip settings.
Again, I only tested it in training mode, so it could be a training only glitch.
(edited for grammar)
We have this testemonial and the whole thread to rely on. I still don’t know if its perfect. I bet someone will find something different but if not then i dunno lol.
ha ha
preorder
lest we forget that most people don’t play 2D fighting games anymore
I’m walking into Eb/walmart/best buy on the release day and picking up a copy (next to the other copies that will inevitably be there)
I just tried that using MAME on 980629 and 980904 in a VS match. Sim’s leg went right through Ryu.
EDIT: I suppose this is pointless since MiddleKick said in post #16 that this can happen in the arcade version also.
EDIT 2: I should also add that A-Sim’s Roundhouse DID hit Dan, consistent with what Omni posted (#115).

lol, i just tested it and it hits dan but not ken/ryu. I hate this game.

p.s. I can get gief’s kabotti cancel but no one elses - such as rolento or guys. anyone have luck with theirs?
Just checked this on MAME.
Did happen on SFZ2 960227, did not happen on SFA2 960306 (Correct moves came out). It is also fixed in SFZ2A 960805.
It’ll be interesting to see how this is dealt with in the English release.

There’s a dip to change to the US version, right? Perhaps they could see if it still happens when that’s set?
While I can understand all this thorough checking, it seems to me that we can jump to the conclusion that it’s arcade perfect already. It seems pretty evident that they’re just running emulated arcade versions with a training mode added in. Of course, You can never put it past Capcom to just randomly change some shit, but I think if they were planning on doing that, they would’ve changed some of the other stuff that’s already been found to be okay. Besides, why wouldn’t they just leave those changes to the Arrange versions?
Is there? I know someone mentioned they switched it to english. Either way, if there’s a dipswitch option for 960306 then they should try that.
There’s two versions listed in MAME of A2 (not including some Z2 Alpha versions) that I don’t have:
SFZ2 Brazil 960304 (Earlier version than US version by two days, may or may not be in there)
SFZ2 Brazil 960531 (Probably fixed, since it’s a later version than the US one)

so how do i access marvel mode?
I figured that changing it to English would simply be changing to the US/World version. Worth trying anyhow.
Could you try changing the A2 settings to 960306 if there’s a setting for it, and trying that Rose thing again?
-9
how do i do that?
Try going into the options while holding R2.

yeah that works now.
Awesome, thanks. That makes sense. 960227 is the earliest version listed in MAME, so it’s probably based off that unless you change the dipswitch settings. Most likely a bug that wasn’t noticed until right after they got the game out the door.
