Alpha Anthology *Capcom for the motherfucking WIN*

Same thing i said, let’s just wait and see…

If Upper is included I’m gonna bust a casket:cool:

You got any sources to back this up?

I’m pretty sure it was video only. Lemme research and get back to you.

I didn’t mean that, literally, the Naomi and DC were identical. I was more or less making a point that DC conversions are perfect -sans minor texture detail loss, and added loading times- to Naomi games, whats the point of a Naomi emulator when you have DC? Get it?

The Naomi is a Dreamcast in every way except for ram IIRC. If by “On Steroids” you mean it has more ram, then you are correct. Everything else from CPU to the GPU is identical.

It’s nothing new. Sega Saturn - ST-V. PS1 - Namco System 11(I think). GameCube - Triforce. Shit they even had an arcade version of the Genesis with more ram back in the day (ran games like Puyo Puyo 2 and Thunder Force AC).

Exactamundo. Nice work Elvis

I thought they had one of the test versions of Virtua Fighter 5 arcade. 2 cabinets back to back.

In both ya’ll’s fucking faces:

They announced it then showed it in VIDEO FORM ONLY.

IT was NOT PLAYABLE. Losers…

Both of Ya’ll got fucking OWNED.

God damnit I hate being right all the time.

Yeah, Arcade version. We’re talking about the PS3 version.

Hence my original statement: A3 Anthology, wins only fighter at E3 award.
They don’t consider arcade games for E3 awards, or VF5 would have snagged it easy.

Whoever said ten year old Alpha games were > than VF5 and then called me a jerk is < a steaming pile of shit.

Although Offtopic.

The VF5 Arcade is supposed to be coming out in Japan this July! I wanna be there!

Zero 3 FG News

http://www.capcom.co.jp/sfz_fg

-Satsui no hadou mezame ta Ryu/Evil Ryu and Guile confirmed

-Evil Ryu now has a new dive kick

-Also, there seem to be new ISMs, as with the Sunburned Sakura shot, there was no text above the Super bar

-Guile also seems to be performing what looks like a Parry?!? The lack of the usual effects that accompany an Alpha Counter are not visible: flash of lightning; reduction of Guard Power Gauge or the ‘Alpha Counter’ message

-Guile appears to be using an unknown type of Super bar

WTF? I dunno whether to be ecstatic or upset by all this. If it’s in the Arranged version, it might be fun to play around with. If they are messing with the Arcade version…dammit.

Edit: There’s still one picture left. I wonder what secret it has. Magneto?

Yes for more isms in arranged version!

NO FOR 3S-ISM!!(just going off the parry comment)

Hmm, I don’t recall Satsui no Hadou Ryu having the dive kick…

Guile just looks like he has Shin Bison’s meter. Not sure what the spark is but the animation looks like s.close fierce, so maybe it’s just a counter hit.

There appears to be a campaign for a stick that has a convertable face?

EDIT: The game also comes with one of the 16 Udon SFII comics(randomly picked, not translated from what I’ve seen)

Look at E.Ryu’s bar. THAT looks like the Bison Bar to me. Guile’s is blue for some reason, on top of his guard meter being pretty long. I can’t remember what sparks were which, but I do remember guard sparks being blue, and CH sparks being larger yellow ones with a brief flash. That still doesn’t explain the early frames of the close fierce…

I’ll find out next week.

E.Ryu’s bar is indeed the Shin Bison bar, or at the very least looks identicle to the Shin Bison bar on the DC version. I too am confused by Guile though, the meter sort of resembles that of P Groove in CvS2 with the color and only one level of super, but if you compare it to E.Ryu’s meter it looks exactly the same except it’s blue and isn’t full in that shot. That could also be a parry I guess since the hit spark makes no sense for that standing fierce since one of those two would have had their attacks interrupted. This is starting to get interesting if this is only for A3 Arrange.

Meh. I have all of these games for Saturn and/or Dreamcast. It’s tempting but I think I’m going to pass on this one.

Off topic but about VF5 at E3.

It was playable in the Sega VIP area but onnly like 5 characters.
The arcade version was on the show floor in a beautiful versus city cabinet setup.

Glad to hear about Alpha Anthology AND CCC2.

Not sure about other versions, but I’m pretty sure the GBA version of SFA3 had the hidden option to enable Super Cancels and stuff like that. So yeah, I guess it’s not inconceivable that they could throw in parries and create a whole new ISM for the 3S style of play.

I’ll get the import version next week and I’ll answer questions about stuff you guys may have

Nobody else noticed the winged skull (Bison’s logo) at the end of Guile’s meter?

And yeah, looks like a parry to me. I guess it could also be some sorta new counter move he has in that -ISM, like Karin’s, V-Cammy’s, etc. And Capcom seems to be ripping the original home version characters in addition to adding Dark Sakura (for some insane reason). Interesting…

P.S. parries are stupid

Yeah really does look like a parry but with the shadoloo ism. Not a block hit or alpha counter spark. And the little balls fly out of the hit spark SFIII style. Here is a parry spark:
