yeah, i guess Fukiage is my best weapon in this match. i even recall landin the EX Fukiage when she was just stnding O.o i was terribly unfamiliar with Elena when i fought the guy, and i shamed Makoto, as it was ME who got rushed down in the end i guess Experience was the deciding factor (and that damn kara-throw + the off-the-ground-kick-ur-face-in-swinging kick thingy)
another random thought, i fought this Remy (heh, poor guy didnt know what he was gettin into :P) and i got him dizzied in his corner. I tried s.HP > SA2, and it conneted! O.o thing is, i dunno if he just gave up and didnt bother blocking. i KNOW that HP > SA2 s only supposed ta hit from Makās side, could the stun allow for this? sumbody pls test.
Great show CAjunstrike, sorry I couldnāt stick around to see you beast with Mak at VTYME, I got crushed second round by Justin; then I choked against some guy playing purple Chun- -; Lemme know what other tourneys u tryin to go to, would love to leach off your Makoto^_^
Hey, I was wondering about Makotoās double SA.2 combo. I didnāt see it listed anywhere and Iām rather inexperienced with Makoto.
Sorry if it was talked about before, my mouse is broken at the moment and I canāt figure out how to get to the search menu without a mouse.
There was some one doing it at VTYME (I assume it was Cajunstrike?), and it involved hitting with SA.2, then juggling with another SA.2 after doing something else.
That āsomething elseā is what I canāt figure out. Is it a kara-fukiage?
Thanks, no wonder I was having trouble. I thought he was hitting with something else before doing the second one, but I guess not. Well, thatās a relief.
Thereās a reset, where you SA2, superjump, late qcb mk, dash, lp (or mp?), SA2 (with HK). There are probably other variantsā¦ you catch them in the air; itās kind of tough to parry. Still not worth the meter, unless youāre going to stun/kill them.
Ah, that may be what that guy was doing. I remember a Ryu player was doing jab resets into SA.1 too, and nobody parried the whole thing. So I wouldnāt be surprised if nobody parried a Makoto reset either. Why doesnāt anybody parry an obvious reset?
Whatsup man. I think I did both up there, but the reset one is late mk tsurugi, dash under st. strong cancelled into super. I assume (havent had it done to me) that this reset is harder than others to parry because since you cancel the strong into super, they only finish flipping out (the reset) right before she flies off the wall. And I believe after she catches the wall, its one frame before the kick connects, especially that close, therefore being hard to parry. =p
For me, the timing on hitting the strong + cancelling so quick is harder, but a lot more reliable than the jab.
Ramza: Thanks btw man. Come out to some of our tourneys. Oct. 8 is console SamSho4 and 3S, Nov. 12 is arcade 3S, CVS2, MVC2, T5.
eh, driving down towards Richmond was a bitch of drive, think thatās enough for me. Hope to see you at NEC though(god knows how Iāll deal with the driving/sleep deprivation to get there)
I have a question referring to SlimXās 3s vid. He did two SAII supers on Ryu and they both connected, then finished with two Hayateās (MP and a HP I believe ) Iāve been trying to do that combo forever and can never seem to connect the second SAII after her superjump cancel special. anyone know how itās really done.
Thanks for the thread bro, gonna help me loads with this angel:tup:
A few questions though:
In an SAII juggle combo, which button should I use with my F, D, DF+Ps?
Also when should I use LK to Kara & when should I use HK?
Finally:
What tips can you give me for this combo:
SA IIā>QCB+LK/MK in the airā>SA IIā>QCB+LK/MK in the airā>QCF+P, QCF+P
Exact opposite for me. SAI makes me focus while when I play SAII Iām always preoccupied of trying to get the super (cause its so fun to do) that I donāt pressure, which is Makotoās entire game right there.
i probably wont add too much on SAIII mainly becuase no one really uses it, and I donāt use it all myself. my main goal with this thread was just to have some pretty basic info on everything that will lead you to a win with Makoto without confusing people too much with a lot of filler. so i am trying to keep it lean as possible while still being informtaiveā¦
Yeah I was the same way for a while. I felt I could only be agressive with SAI, but now I try to be agressive with EX moves and just use SAII when the oprotunity arises instead of forcing it. They are both good supers, it just took me a while to get constiant enough with SAII to use it in real battles all the time.
I spoke to epsilon very briefly the other day and he might be coming, I think he said that you probably wouldnāt be able to make it though.
As far as SAII playstyle is concered: For me Iāve found itās easier to land grabs by being really aggressive for a bit, and then after youāre in their face repeatedly just switch-up quick, stop offense, grab.
Also I think if the opponent is aggressive enough themselves and youāve got a good read on them, sometimes you can just sit in or near the corner, annoy them with some mid-range or aa pokes, and try to make them kinda run into the grab. This also works well if you play really aggressive first off, take a nice lead, and then just change playstyles and run away.
