hey guys i just started makoto…i read everything here (well not every single page) but i got a question.

how many post hayates can you do? when i do like c.lkxxhayate they’re too far for the 3rd one. so they can jump away or srk on the 3rd one? and the mind games end there? can anyone help me plz? :tup:

do s.lk into hayate and you can keep going forever.

c.lk hayate

-> SA1 gotta combo it though
-> karakusa > combo
-> c.lk hayate
-> s.lk ex oroshi
-> ex fukiage (if you smell a jump)
-> c.mp mphayate
-> uoh!!

they can shoryu out of it anytime.

and follow up with jab hayate right? i swear it misses after 2nd or 3rd hit…its like they inch too far away each time.

yeah they are too far away thats when you switch to c.mp mp hayate it gets you closer =D

hey wouldnt it be easy for them to know once they’ve been hayate’d twice that a c.mp is coming? it is high/low parryable right? or will the hayate stuff a low forward follow up?

EDIT: for every follow up there has to be a mixup right? so if i did 2 post hayate mixups, am i in good range for a kara karasuka?

maybe the c.RH kara if you want karakarakusa just do 1 or 2 hayate mixups then do twards strong you know her little knuckle thing that’ll put them in perfect karakarakusa range if i’m not wrong OH also another one i didn’t mention that is good is UOH after a hayate mixup.

all makoto’s c.normals can be parried foward except c.lk and c.fierce

niec stuff. so if i do decide to do f+mp, what would be the mixup for the kara karasuka? because the player knows if i do f+mp the kara karasuka is next and they dash back. should i mix it up with c.hp? or c.mp? whats a good mixup with that?

and why is UOH good? link to SA1? what would put me in perfect distance for it? i like EX tsurugi and EX oroshi for an overhead, but if i can UOH SA1 with post hayates thats awesome info :smile:

yeah you CAN link it but generally in hayate mix ups people will do 3 things SRK cblock and jump a uoh will hit 2/3 options weird? it’s free damage in the very least, not to mention resets all mix ups for new mind games!

so how would i put the UOH in postion for a SA1 linK? c.lk dash back good enough?

this one is a long shot but if the c.block a standing short that leaves them in uoh sa1 distance c.c

how about to the guy who said u can c.lkxxhayate forever? i thought u couldnt?

you can and you can’t, if your playing against people who don’t know how to block it works otherwise your fucked haha but also i suggest messing with sa2 as much as possible.

yeah i like both supers and play both. even if i hit with c.lkxxhayate i still miss after a while. ill just try again

and how safe is it to dash in after block strings? whats a good second option other than not dashing at all? f+hp? ex tsurugi?
