All About Makoto / Read this first

i have this nasty habit of jumping in with roundhouse, which really fucks me because alot of time people will just crouch as it doesn’t hit crouched foes and then i’ll land in some kind of “makoto gets really fucked up” combo so coming from me, don’t use it unless you know for sure it’s gonna hit i think the jumping in fierce is a better option becuase it hits over head anyway just random thing i thought of.

i can hardly make out whats happening =/

yo ur video is all black did u film this with a play doh camera?

someone was behing me with a digi cam.

I hate makoto, her throw defense sucks.

edit: [insert something useful]

when i do 100% stun, my second dash keeps going too far how do i stop this?

 Throw escape.

You should check out the 100% stun thread…

But basically, on most characters, you have to kara the first fukiage backwards with s.hk (i believe c.hk works too). This gives you just the bit of distance you need where the 2nd fukiage will kinda barely connect, but nonetheless, connect.

c.hk does not work because that moves you foward where s.hk moves you backwards giving you the spacing you need to get your dash second fukiage!

thnx for clearing that up.

hehe with all this knowledge you’d think i’d be able to execute it more often, but shit’s still hard =( i’ve been working on the 95-99%ish stun instead it seems easier. haha ^^

I can do the 100% pretty consistantly (maybe 75% of the time), but I’ve actually heard around that its “improper”, “cheap”, or “disrespectful” to do it. So I don’t do it unless I’m playing a scrub. Any thoughts on that?

play to win, if you go to evo do you think someones gonna say omg hax? for doing the 100% stun? in my opinion that’s like telling oro not to use tengu or chicken combo’s. i would use the 100% stun as often as i had meter there is no point not to and in the grand scheme of things a win is a win, but again… if you are the best in your region you want to leave room for others to improve if ya know what i mean?

Thats scrubby thinking like that. First of all, the people saying this are scrubs. Its not hard to NOT get caught by 100% stun combo. You just have to make sure you don’t put yourself in that situation. If they got Abare combo, they are the only one’s to blame for their slow reflexes. Most of the times you can just kind of jump and stuff. Most of my matches against the people I play against, I don’t even get to use Abare. I’m basically killing them with Ex moves.

Plus I don’t know about the majority of makoto players out there but 100% is still a hard combo. I had it down like 80% at one point. Don’t play in a month, and suddenly i’m having trouble pulling it off consistently. It’s like you have to keep your combo skills conditioned at all times.

quoted for emphasis, but sometimes it’s harder than you think. i have done the 100%, but i only really use it in clutch situations where the outcome of the match will be a win for me. most of the time i use the dash fukiage -> jump rh -> dash mixup… or the corner strong hayate xx fierce reset.

The100% stun is the most broken and cheap combo in the game… But that doesn’t mean their is anything wrong with using it though.

Side note you can juggle tweleve with a cr.rh kara’d jab hayate post ex hayate in the corner. Timming is quite strict though…

Its not, especially against players who pick other characters who do similar tactics. If ur not willing to do it at all times, expert players will roll over you all the time.

The only thing thats cheap in 3s is Gill and Uriens chop :annoy:. But seriously, that chop can be annoying haha. Actually now that I think of it, Chun’s back fierce is my worst fear.
