I’m not say they should have run for the hills as soon as the saw it. I’m not afraid of snakes, but the last thing I would do is extend my hand out to touch a cobra. The Biologist probably thought the suit would be enough to protect him from any bites, that’s the only logical conclusion I can think of to explain his actions.
If Vickers was an android she wouldn’t have rush to suit up before leaving the Prometheus ship like she did, almost risking her life trying to escape on the pod. After all, if she was an android she didn’t really need a suit.
the enginners r not other thing than ourselves but XL size, they fucked themselves up n almost all the engineers end up dead becuz of the same reason prometheus crew died, history repeated itself.
nah I havent mudled it im saying the exact same thing you’re saying but im pointing out the fact they had no idea the cobra was anything NEW
you can’t expect everyone to have the same reaction they also point out that everything thats there is preserved, they are amazed not because its turned into a rotting corpse and its preserved they are amazed because the bodies haven’t rotted at all! one person may have said the thing chasing them is probably long gone but WHO KNOWS
my post was pointing out the fact by knowledge of the engineers activities they would prefer to be in that room than outside of it. so one of them was probably stupid enough to want to befriend any animals in there so they dont have to try to stay awake outside.
which would you prefer? the signs of something heading towards them then vanishing (which is why they went to the room) or to try to make a snake comfortable with you so you can stay in the apparently safe room
Okay true, but I’m speculating that it would be easy to limit an android’s capability to that of a human, control their memories so that they believe themselves to be human. If Vickers ever hurt herself, they could replace/alter the memory so she remembers the experience like a human would.
…and i still have the concentration span of a gnat.
ok, we’re not using spoiler tags anymore… The jockeys ship was hardly affected when it collided with prometheus. It slowly crashed to the grown still in 1 piece.
when david said “its not the only ship there are many others, i can operate them”, I assumed he meant the jockeys ship (the one that had just crashed with barely any damage) as opposed to prometheus which blew up, because shaw wasnt aware that david knew how to operate the jockeys ship… at what point are we told that each space jockey had its own ship?
edit:
and at the end when shaw tells david she wants to go to the jockeys home planet because she wants to know why they changed their minds, david says he didnt understand why because the answer would be irrelevant. when shaw responds by telling david that’s what makes her a human and him a robot, he smiles. I thought that was odd considering how he hated being referred to as a robot (void of any emotion) and unworthy of respect throughout the film. Maybe at that point he was glad he wasnt human.
I noticed that too, I think it’s because of what just happened with him and Weyland.
I think he meant SJ ships, if you recall when the first landed there were about 3 mountains in the distance all shaped exactly the same as the one they find the ship under.
