I’m going to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind, because that is a movie that people truly enjoyed and it was just as smart as it pretended to be. Also, MvC2 had a kickass soundtrack.
With all the complaining and positive reviews you guys are doing are making me want to do one thing… WATCH THE MOVIE AGAIN!
Sucked hardcore…graphics were as good as 99% of the movies that come out today and so was the plot…

decent sci fi movie, horrible aliens films.
That’s probably what the Engineer thought when he saw Weyland.
Going to see the movie a 3rd time this weekend probably in IMAX again.

I thought it was ok best. looked good but way too many questions and mysteries. I didn’t like the lame jokes and fluffs AT ALL. trying to watch a serious movie here. its like he forgot what made the original alien movie great in the first place.
So putting an emphasis on sci fi and horror a prequel to a sci fi/horror film is forgetting now?
There are some plot holes for sure but like I said before it seems like most of you don’t understand that some of the questions you have are intentionally left unanswered and IMO for the better. If you went in expecting it to answer all the questions it raises you miss the whole point and have no one to blame but yourself.
That makes 2 of us. I’m seriously losing sleep thinking about all the mythology behind the Engineers as well. God! It’s like playing Xenosaga all over again…
the point of movies like this is to make the public think
at first I thought “why make it a bit trashy ridley” then I remembered the majority attitude towards things that seem “pretentious”. nice one scott, you are a kind man.
this film is a real film. I find it sad that people can make a film and it be figured out straight away, it’s the modern consumerism generation thats contributing towards a generation of lazy consciousnesses

Fun movie, some parts were stale. Watching Alien previous to screening this might have set the standard a tad too high.

Anyone else think David intentionally said something to piss the Engineer off, so he’d kill Weyland? Like, “Hi, we’re here to kill you”. David mentioned he’d be free if Weyland was dead and the quote “Doesn’t everyone want their parents dead?” implies David kinda wants Weyland dead anyways. The way the Engineer reacts to David is almost like he was told a bad joke.
He said the “aristocats” joke really fast. 
Actually what this film did for me was for some reason want to check out Blade Runner, and I did. Great stuff.
