it wasn’t a matter of giving one side their way while saying screw the other…I wanted it to start out even, and then depending on how the turn out is…well…turning out, I will make changes accordingly, which is what I did this past friday. I figured they would have trusted me to do that from the start.
Yosh: who the hell is amanda?
Jim: I’ll take you up on that offer man. I had to kinko the fliers I made…
Everyone: thanks for comin’ out, ESPECIALLY the new folk…and you’re welcome. Good games to all!
Just a suggestion, If you’re going to get this CAD tourney rollin’, You might want to get the details figured out ASAP. Just in case some people from nearby (WI, IN, Bufu IL) want to come out for some games. Less than 2 weeks is kinda short notice especially if you have to take off work, plan accordingly, etc.
I also think this would be good for CAD’s business. I.E. using computers for internet or if they want to try out some PC games.
My new stick is almost done. I should have it all geared up for the coming weekend, and I’m psyched. I just finished assembling all the pieces that don’t have controls on it, so as soon as I get my PCB ready (about tuesday’ish), I can finish off the rest of the assembly and be all done with this damn thing. I’ve had the parts strewn all over the floor of my living room for a month.
I’m never building another custom myself, haha. Next time, I’m modding an HRAP.
the post had been up in the tournament thread for quite some time, WAY ahead of time. you guys sound like you want 2 out of 3 MATCHES with 2 out of 3 rounds per match, right? thats all I needed to know…it’s not like you guys are sounding like you want shit to run in a way that will ensure YOUR victory (like the DDR kids…long story), and I think it’s a fair setup.
anyways…here’s the lowdown.
Date - August 17, 2007
Time - 7PM (both games will run simutaneously, being that there are 4 TV’s used [by default]. The amount of entrants per game will dictate the amount of tv’s used per game.)
Sign-Up - Post here, with your name and the game you will be competing in, I’ll record it and have everything ready the day of the tourney. (Yes, I AM RELIABLE!)
Entry Fee - $5 bucks for the game. There is a seperate $3 cover charge for the fight night itself.
Setup - You will be competing in a double elimination tournament style. You and your opponent will fight in a best 2 out of 3 MATCH/2 out of 3 ROUNDS PER MATCH format. The winner of the final will earn 80% of the total entry pool, while the runner up will earn 20%.
Just recently moved From Cali and looking to enhance my skills I mainly play CvS 2,and 3s but would love to learn to play other games…I’m leaving the 15th to Evo World and wont be back till the 28th…tourneys,causual,or money matches makes me know mind just looking for compition
We gotta get some games in man! I’m not going to Evo, but can probably give you some CvS2 comp pre-evo. I guess Nickel City(Arcade) and Ctrl+Alt+Del(Console) are the only places to really get some games in. I’ll probably be looking for somewhere to get some games in Friday night…
Friday At nickel city ill be there about 8 ish nice to know there still fighters out there…i dont know where CAD is but if it not to far out the way we can battle there…instead let me know
I’m sure that even though I said 7, the games themselves won’t start AT 7 (I’ve heard of similar incidents at Nickels)…I more or less want people to start showing up around then, thats all…7:30 is around where I wanna kick things off, but no later than 8.
