Universal safejump against 4f reversals after f.throw on characters with normal wakeup times.
f.throw, dash, c.lk, df palm.

Tested in the video against crouchblock, high block and 4f reversal Koryuken. Dan wakes up normally.

Shouldn’t it be throw, forward dash, cr.lk, flip palm?

Totally right, that’s what I meant ofcourse. You have to vary mk/hk demon flip depending on the character because of palm’s shitty active frames and the opponents wakeup animation. Also on characters like juri this is extra difficult because of their lower crouching profile. Palm needs to be timed quite carefully.

Up first are corner setups.

Here is the Demon Flip Throw setup: DF Throw -> cr. MP -> HK DF Kick.

Well I don’t know how you use this Df setup. I tried df kick as early as I could to shorten the range but no dice : It whiffs on neutral, on crouch, on walk forward.
I’ll try tomorrow if we can at least mix up with other DF liek grab and palm to see if these gona hit. I have a feeling it will be punished easy by cr.lp

The problem here is that you only assume people gona be dumb and reversal something. I’d rather put my money on some meaties attacks that force a block to build a mix up game and keep the “non meaty” - “reversal stuffing” DF for the 3 framers only.
My 2 cents.

Anyway great job LovelyDem. You should be more precise in your setup description, the df kick can be done early mid or late and that’s a huge part of DF setups.
And sorry if I sound like a party pooper, it’s just I don’t like setups that don’t cover more than 1 answer, the stupidest ones usually and lead to punish only on some opponents that can’t escape with their whiffed reversals.
I might have it all wrong but I tried on Ryu an hour later and tried this setup months ago with same results.

Stuffs- all condor spires, srks (ex will hit if u dont execute soon enough)
Whiffs- U2 (again, will hit if ur execution isnt on point)

Stuffs- all normal tatsus (tho they will auto correct n hit u if the tatsu is delayed)

Hits- LK DP (reversal autocorrect otherwise block)
Whiffs- MK, HK, EX DP (all will autocorrect with delayed non-reversal timing, so b prepared to block)
Block- U2, U1 (otherwise ull b hit by the first kick, and the rest will whiff but only if ur timings good)

Dudley
this will hit Dudley in front when not in the corner. when in the corner, it will b a fake crossup tho u will land behind dudley

Whiff- All DPs and supers, U1
Stuff- all counters

Gouken
will hit in front when not in corner. when in corner, it will b a fake crossup, but ull land behind gouken

timing is tricky here. a frame late or early can get u different results. uv been warned

Stuff- all hayates stuffed crossup (delayed ex ull have to block), normal hayates stuffed crossup
Block- U2 (or u can jump or try to DP or demon),
Loses to- ex command grab
Whiffs- normal command grabs (you have to jump), all DPs, U1 (really funky autocorrect, but ull land behind her), ex karate chop

DJ…idk what to tell u. different timings will give u different things. literally five seconds b4 i typed this, i got the setup to b an unblockable on DJ (which ive never done with this exact setup b4) and stuff lk upkicks and make the other upkicks whiff. im rly not gunna go into detail on this one, but i personally can’t recommend doing this on DJ since the timing is the trickiest of all the chars. if someone can find a reliable way of timing this setup to get an optimal advantage, than by all means do it and plz post it here

hm, I would be so happy to know a “cross up” DF kick, but I don’t know a single way out of the corner to make a DF kick hit cross up. So calling loud for a fake DF kick cross up mid screen seems a bit silly in my point of view.

Long time ago people learned to just walk under a non meaty enough DF kick and take care of your life bar for trying.
Seriously who’s gona reversal an obvious cross up trajectory jump ?? People will block cross up, meaning : walk forward making you whiff (even if you prolly gona whiff no matter what on half the cast) and throw you.

The angle and hitbox of the DF kick make it “by design” impossible to hit cross up. You may be lucky once and put the feet active box right on the back of the opponent but in this situation more than half of your flying body is still in front, aka No cross up…

Prove me wrong, please. I’ve been searching for so long.
People should always add the blocking follow up in setups videos. Beating reversal isn’t enough if blocking means win for the opponent (because of the whiff).

Volcanic this “cr.mp set-up after df grab” has already been around for a while. Nonetheless it’s nice to see in detail what happens against every character.

You can crossup some characters after a sweep. Sagat for one after a bnb combo and Ryu off of a back throw (although this one is pretty useless and easy to stuff if you know it’s coming). I don’t know why you’re suggesting it’s “impossible” to crossup by design, when it’s not. And yeah, I’m talking about your entire body being behind them, not just your feet. Seth can be crossed up after a DF throw with a delayed EX dive.

All right I’ll test those char then. I would “love” if we could cross up with DF kick. And with usual good defense moves of the opponent that is.
I clearly could be wrong. For the impossible part, it was a bit false, because of large hitbox chars when crouching.
Lets say cl hp tatsu sweep Sagat then mk DF kick will cross up ?
