Hey all. I’m having some trouble stuffing Adon’s rising jaguars. Can someone shed some light (or pinpoint me to a threat) on to what angle or timing is needed on them? I used late and early DFKs so i am a bit confused! I handle the neutral and footsies part of the match pretty much ok. But as i gain momentum and after a couple of mix ups i get hit by rising jaguar, good luck sweeping his crazy st. HK again…oh and that mean throw of his…jaguar kick sets up the best throwing range for him and can mix it up with LK rising jaguar if you back dash! Oh and keep in mind that if you go meaty on him and he uses his invisibility, he can throw you for free on your recovery!
I think I saw Tokido do a close EX demon flip > cross-up dive setup a while back. Any known specifics on that? Sorry if it’s been covered, I tried to dig it up.
Just found some probably useless yet interesting tech vs Ken (possibly all shotos?).
Off Cr. Lk, Cr. Lp, Cr. Lp xx Lk Tatsu you can instant LDFK that beats some SRKs if they quick rise.
If they dont, you can go for a xup/not-xup Lk Tatsu. If you hit a meaty Lk Tatsu in the front you get a sweep on Ken (into vortex).
A crossup Lk tatsu will knock em away from you and instant HDFK follow up will then beat all SRKs, if they quick rise. (if they dont you can probably follow this up with a TK Air fireball 50/50).
Edit: nvm, this is complete ass, it can all be low blocked
There should be a sticked thread for safe jumps. This information is vital and the setup thread is just unreadable while the matchup thread lack a lot of information.
Anyway I just saw this on a video and tryed it in training :
Safe jumps 4f reversals after U2 is : whiff lk tatsu j.HK
Found a setup against Fei Long, though I think it’s already been found.
It comes from a specific combo.
Crouching Light Punch -> Close Standing Heavy Punch -> Light Tatsu -> Sweep xx Walk forward a BIT, Jump MK Divekick.
In the corner, it can crossup and combo with Crouching Light Punch. Pretty ambiguous. You could also walk back a slight bit and use it. I’ve always thought the MK Divekick could only hit from the front until I found this setup. Cheers!
I uploaded a couple videos on Akuma AE 2012 setups. I honestly take no credit in finding these, all I’m doing is compiling the ones that are already known into one video. Major thanks to LoyalSol for finding majority of these setups though
Nice vids man! Appreciate the compiling, saves the time of looking through different pages and threads for setups. 1 little point of feedback: For the setups that work on different characters, you showed every option on every character, but since the outcome is the same anyway, I would have just showed it for 1 char. Besides, when mentioning the setups, you already stated on which chars it also worked. Thanks again
This is my own set up folder. I thought let’s share it with the community.
I took some set ups from Infiltration, Tokido, Shoryuken Forum and some youtube videos, but I’ve “found out” alot of those by myself. I often have a different set up listed even though double dash is possible because I often mess up the dash <.< Bear in mind that I stopped (re-)working on the folder and that’s why some characters just have a few set ups listed (some of the stuff written might also just be bad but as I said I stopped working on the set ups ). I would suggest that if people change something or have suggestions they can just edit the file and add their set ups that they think are good.

The best I can get is that the divekick must be blocked crossup both standing and crouching. I can’t get the same results as quoted. Anyone else tested it/care to test?
1st page of the thread for the df setup tests. btw some other SRK user (Lovely Demon, or something like that) is currently making a video showing the setup results on all characters
I dont know for which characters you tested it, but I know for a fact that if you do this on ryu, if he neutral stances (meaning he doesn’t press a button or hold his stick in neutral)
the divekick will whiff. But it’s pretty risky to go for that, and if your opponent does go for it, you can do df throw > cr.mp > mk.df throw. Hope that helps out a bit
