Does Akuma still say “HEE” and “SHOUSHH”
important to know!

even though, JR will still get rekt easily by any decent player.
this guy doesn’t know how to play SFV.
JR playing SFV Ryu since day 1 beta and 2 years later, his ryu is still horrible, no footsies, no hit confirms, no advanced combos, no shimmies.
random CAs all day long on his streams and can’t even defend vs the most basic rushdown on normal gold league
this guy needs to go back to SF3 where he beats up beginners and dodging fightarcade EXO, NicaKO etc.
I would actually love to see LTG getting matched vs JR in sfv and ending up uploading a vid, although both players are frauds and got horrible reputation, LTG would actually rek JR easily in SFV gameplaywise
Who’s JR?
Pikachuakuma
In SFV, during regular Zanku Hadoken, instead of saying “hee” like in SFIV, English and Japanese Akuma says “huh” like in his debut in ST.
I’m not sure about “Shoushi!”
Anyone know if he’s able to do kara demons, or is his demon in this game more like his ultra in SF4 rather than his super in SF4?
No idea if it’s a zero frame grab (it kind of should be, it does cost 3 bars), but someone said you could empty cancel normals into it like usual.
To me it didn’t looked like you could kara demon it but i just wanted to see if anyone had managed to do it at Capcom Cup.
Until we know more, I am going to assume Ryu beat up Akuma and made akuma pee his pants like a baby, and his story is how he’s trying to run away from home.
This may be a dumb question, but what is a kara demon? I tried to Google it and it sounded like it’s a way to make the raging demon grab inescapable, but also have them not be in block/hit stun? Is that right?
That shouldn’t be necessary because in sfv throw supers can be comboed into.
Kara demon is very famous on Akuma with his overhead for example.
In USFIV for the super you could do forward lp+mp * 2 into down forward lk+hp (if I remember correctly), you could also do a slightly different command for his ultra 1 demon. This basically makes you start the overhead and kara cancel (kara cancel means empty cancel which means you cancel it before it hits, during the startup) it into the demon. This is basically impossible to escape if you don’t predict it.
Depends wholly on the startup and grab reach. The scenario you described while the cancel properties are accurate, only applies to his Super, not Ultra as his Super was a 0+1f grab. Whether this remains feasible in SFV is dependent upon his demon’s startup properties. From what we have seen so far however, it certainly appears fast AND has a sizeable reach. We have also seen a couple examples of it appearing to barrel through projectiles too (though this could be a side effect of it having a large grab range) so this could well be possible.
Another aspect to consider is using V-Trigger activation pauses to setup clutch demon activation scenarios, which may be a go-to option - particularly if his demon lacks invulnerability properties during its startup.
I wonder if you’d be able to whiff punish something a bit slow like a heavy with vtrigger/demon. That would be strong.
Yah if you can react to it. Most heavies have 20+ recovery frames.
At Winner Stays On tonight they did a throw bait demon and it worked. So it does actually start up really fast.
Does Akuma stomp hit low?
Somebody should’ve made the Akuma Matata theme song a while ago. Oh well - full chorus here:
Akuma Matata: The Shoto everyone plays*
Akuma Matata: The Shun Goku Satsss will blaze!
It means “you’re finished” for the rest of your days
You will stay so free, just look and see…!
Akuma Matata.

This actually isn’t too far away from the truth. Except substitute Ryu with Gouken, pants peeing with really angry, and running away from home with burning down forests.
Welp, WSO video confirms that the character intro video was OLDER than the latest build. So Capcom decided to “introduce” the character as NOT taking grey damage when parrying, but in the latest build he actually does.
Wackness confirmed. For now at least.
Good job Capcom -_-
Let’s hope he ends up with a decent parry and this get re-reversed.
