Nice, but they can react to this. I think it’s better to do MP Headbutt.
fucking sick
this is stupid . You just put yourselfd in the corner. what are you gonna do after the headbutt? if the player is any good he will throw and beat jabs+ shorts.
so now u are in the corner against an opponent who probably has ultra. Think of all th bad shit that could happen for a mixup that doesn’t even work.
why sacrifice your corner position ? meter building after ultra is overrated anyway.
so i got really high one night and decided to try this out for the first time in the championship mode finals, its at about 3:00 when i start, it works perfectly, just check for yourself guys
sorry about the shitty reaction times, ganja can fuck it up :]

all in all i think its an awesome tool
till next time, laterrrr
hmm gotta try that out seems dope tho=)
When you do the headbutt you are clearly in frame advantage so if you do meaty jabs he cannot throw you out of it. And the whole idea is that it looks as if you are crossing up to the other side. You have to roll the dice every once in a while. Besides, if you want to go to the other side so bad then you can always just do fierce or strong headbutt which will carry you over your opponent. Meter building after ultra is NOT overrated! After an ultra you can get off dash short upper, turn punch, dash short upper. That roughly 70 points of meter that you get earlier and its all being built safely! That means I can have my super that much earlier to Keno eye right through a fireball. Top Balrog science!
like in my video in the quote above, i was clearly behind in life then with one mixup the fight money is mineeee
Hey that looks pretty damn tricky!
but the problem is normally when ryu has 2 stocks they would go srk fadc on wakeup. You’re kinda lucky he didnt do that. This is definatly good against ppl with no uppercut.
well two things

Like keno said, sometimes you have to roll the dice, risk vs reward FTW.

I would only recommend doing shit like this against higher level players anyway, noobs tend to mash reversal uppercut regardless, higher level players will be looking for mixups and whatnot, another i recommend is before you do this setup, use the headbutt CROSSUP once or twice and really emphasize on it (doing big damage) then they will be on the lookout for it, then you unleash this mixup with the non crossover headbutt and the results can be fun :]
They’d be mashing SRK the wrong way as the LP headbutt doesn’t cross up
too bad the fucked up shortcuts and auto flipping issues of this game sometimes still get you a right direction srk even when mashing the wrong way
^ In the case of a fake cross up like the one that was just discussed, I don’t think so. The game’s not going to do any auto-flipping since the headbutt never really crossed over in the first place.
People normally just mash facing forward regardless of crossup or not. The game auto flips like superlollo said so they are covered in case its a crossup.
Well what I meant was the lp headbutt follow-up won’t cross up, but it looks like it will. So as fateXd2 said, the mashers will be mashing the wrong way. The autoflip only works on an actual cross-over, so it won’t save them if they guess incorrectly.
Im saying that regardless if it looks like it or not. Ryu who knows about the auto flip can jsut mash facing forward. Its like a option select for them. If it doesnt cross up it will hit. If it crosses up it will auto flip and still hit. So theres no reason to do the srk motion the other way. Unless the ryu player doesnt know how to abuse the auto flip.
Im not a ryu player so I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure this is the case. Cuz I do eat a lot of srks.
Haha, I actually used to do that a lot when I played balrog.
Jab/Strong Headbutt mix-up isn’t shabby.
Keno is the truth!
Oh now I see what you’re getting at. Although I think I remember reading a post that if you properly time a cross up, it won’t auto-flip and they’ll still do the reversal in the wrong direction.
Sometimes I wish I could just disable that damned thing. I hate having my dashes auto-flipped on me when I’m trying to escape a cross up.
Tap into HB is the greatest thing ever.
Well my alt is ryu and the auto flipping is totally random. I can do 2 exactly same crossups after a throw and sometimes i’ll eat an auto flip srk and sometimes they’ll srk the wrong way and i’ll hit them on the way up.
As someone else said, in high level play that fake crossup might be a viable option, but online, even in g1, it’s way too risky
