I dont like Akuma as a sub, he takes too much time to learn set ups and etc
more of a main imo
Damnit, I can’t figure out why I find his BnBs so awkward. I feel that his Footsie style is better than Bison’s and would sub Adon in Bison’s bad matchups. However, I drop all his BnBs every way possible outside of training mode. I think all of Bison’s bad matchups are either in Adon’s favor, or even (minus Akuma). Also online seems laggy lately which doesn’t help at all. Pretty much gave up using Cammy, as BS as she is, she can’t combo for shit online with lag.
I was looking at Adons bad matchups and the 3 best characters were Fei , Yun, and Gouken/Ibuki (in order best to least) excluding Akuma. Im going to start subbing Yun although I really wanted to sub Fei, I just hate using top tiers because I feel like people think you win because he or she is S rank
Just play him. I used to think that way, it only hurts you. Especially if you go to tournaments, you are there to win after all… (fun too). Also being an Adon player, you’re good with footsies, am I right? Just add that to Fei’s lame bs and you’re good to go.
As for Akuma being a sub, I dunno. I think he requires too much effort to be a sub, I was gonna do the same thing but it’s just not possible. You need to main him full time or you’re just gonna lose to anyone fairly decent if they know the matchup.
Edit: For IAJK would you say down, down back, back, up forward, forward is a better input? I always find it harder to do on the right side.
I always wondered this, but why is there no safe jump for 3 frame reversals? Can’t you land them with the last few frames of your jump in? Or does it have to do with landing frames?
You can “jump in safely” on a 3 frame reversal as long as you don’t press a button.
If you press a button timed as an actual safe jump to hit their wake-up, you have additional recovery frames after you land, which only 3 frame reversals can hit. Also since those first three frames are invincible, your jump-in attack will never beat them.
thats bit unfair, but oh well
How do you know when and what RJ to link into? I was told most of the time mk is the best. I find sometimes that I miss or it gets blocked because I’m too fat away. Gets kinda frustrating. I planned on hitting it in a match then fadc ultra to win, completely went over their head and lost. I think I was fighting Cammy.
unless your linking it for one hit hit confirm just cancel it. Use lk rj because it has 4 frame startup and hits the farthest with the 1st hit
Yea your right… I guess i should main him. I was using him untrained against a friend and I was kicking major Ryu a** so I guess im naturally good its only smart to grow on something im good with.
And gor your IAJK i mostly go (numpad inputs)
9
6
3
2
1
1lk
you can also start with 8. For me its a much smoother input and easy to do quickly, especially if you use zangief/ t.hawk. A bit of practice and you will be fine

MK will do the most damage if aiming to do it into FADC ultra. HK is risky as it will miss more than hit. LK is the safest and pretty much guaranteed to connect at a slight cost to maximum damage efficiency. So basically, your options are LK or MK. If you RJ gets blocked, it’s because you dropped the combo.
So I’ve been practicing my adon ambiguous crossup after backthrow ex jaguar kick etc, and although I can make it crossup and not crossup whenever I want I’m not satisfied. Mainly because I’m taking like 3/8’s of a stepback to not crossup and 1/4 of a step to crossup and if someone notices what I’m doing they can eventually block it by paying attention.
Then I saw the cc vid with gamerbee and he said he moves back the same distance and his button timing determines the side which is on a whole new level of ambiguous. Could someone please make a vid breaking down the distance/timing of his ambigous crossups I feel it is really necessary and you would be doing me a huge favor.
hello, i’m collecting kara throw data for all of AE 2012’s characters, i don’t know how much of the information here is outdated, so i wanted to ask: what’s adon’s best kara throw?
all of the data will be compiled into a list including normal throw ranges, added ranges and kara throw ranges.
The only kara throw I know with Adon , is with his far hk but almost no one use it because his backthrow has one of the best range in the game.
what about crouching normals? does he have crouching normals that will add range more than the hk?
he doesnt move an inch with those, except maybe cr.mp but im not sure if you can kara that

I noticed that Gamerbee does alot of jump roundhouses in his games. Does anyone know what he does that for? Im guessing its because he wants to stuff dashes or walk ins but he has 5 roundhouse and 2 fierce for that
hmmmm pardon me if i’m wrong but I think the reason why he do lots of neutral jump hk is because he wanted to bait something out of his opponent. Neutral jump hk hitbox is quite good and can stuff most dashes or walk in like you mention but if he did bait something unsafe out of his opponent such as a projectile, he can do a delayed air jk which he can cancel into down mp into rj.
