You could always stretch the spring a little bit.
Thanks, but unfortunately thatās a temp fix. Eventually it will revert back to its original tension spec.
I think the JLW Spring is stiffer and should fit, problem is finding a JLW spring.
You can also hit the hardware store for assorted springs
Thinking about buying an LS-33 Kai and mounting it in a Fighting Stick EX2 body for a portable shmup stick. Assume Iāll need to make some new mounting holes in the body? Anyone know the recommended install height?
With Seimitsu, make the flat mount plate flush with the under side of the panel.
Ordered the LS-33 Kai. Think Iām gonna stain the case dark blue, wrap with black carbon on the metal and maybe go for a kind of hyperstick look. Iām going for the following in my collection
-
Daily fightstick - Fighting Edge PS4 with EZ-MOD, red 30RGs and yellow Semitsu start button (Complete)
-
All rounders: Two Ultra Uilias with the Brook UFB/Retro dual mod, one with Hayabusa/30RGs, one with JLW and 30RGs (Sanwa shmup stick)
*Portables: my modded Fighting Stick N3-SA (V3 variant) - JLF with 30RGs and Brook, modded EX2 with LS-33 and probably my yellow keikou set.
I canāt play shmups with JLF throw for shit lol, so thatās very much a ādreamā setup for me.
hey guys im having trouble finding a wiring diagram for the sfiv 360 fightpad, I searched the padhack thread but of course photobucket happened and most of the pics dont work anymore. Anyone have a diagram in the annals of their photo library?
Silent JLF in my Mad Catz TE2+ shit the bed the other day and instead of fixing it, Iām thinking of trying out a Seimitsu LS-32 or LS-38. Does anyone know if I can just drop one of these puppies in without buying a new plate? Also, what should I expect from these / opinions on which is better?
Thanks.
Which part āshit the bedā exactly? One of the switches?
You will need a new plate regardless if you switch from a JLF to any Seimitsu stick.
Yeah, one of the switches (left directional in its current configuration) doesnāt always register and when it does, itāll often get stuck.
Iāve never used a Seimitsu stick before but I love their buttons; is it the S plate that fits into the TE2+? I suppose I could just get both, save the headache, and have an extra plate for a future project.
I donāt even know where to begin with this one. My wifeās wanting an arcade stick, but she wants the layout flipped.
I think you can get custom top panels for serval sticks.

See if you can score a old TE or Hrap for cheap, get a custom layout.
thx man, Iāll get started there.
edit: The other main idea was having a new metal panel made for my obsidian with the stick and buttons in reverse positions from normal (stick on right side, and buttons on the left). Iād have to see what the local metalworking shop would charge for something like that. Itāll probably be a fuckton of money since itās a single metal/plexi piece setup.
Did someone say they want an ambidextrous joystick???!
possibly. My wife has started getting into Tekken 7 and is playing on pad currently. What weād have to do for her due to her handicap (one arm amputated at the elbow) is reverse the traditional button placements and joystick mount in order for her to use stick.
Donāt you dare bring up āhe that shall not me namedā.
Just saying, imagine how sick it would be, you could even add an MC Cuthulhu so you could use it on colecovision
No.
The SS plate fits mounting in TEās and TE2ās.
If you have more than one stick still iād say go for whatever Seimitsu stick youāre thinking of.
However if the TE2+ is your one and only, and you play shmups from time to time, consider the LS-40-01. Its a good all-rounder joystick.
Running into some issues with a padhack that I didā¦ 10 years ago.
Back in 2009, on my first post here on the SRK forums, I posted a padhack for an Intec Retro Controller for the Wii here; the pics in that thread are long gone but itās this controller:
.
It served its purpose for several years, but I eventually decommissioned those project boxes and the PCBs went into storage.
Fast forward to recently, since Wii Classic Controller work on the NES/SNES Classic, I took these out to put them into some sticks.
Hereās the weird thing:
- Everything appears to works fine when connected to a Wii Remote (tested on my Wii -U)
- Everything appears to work fine for SNES games on the SNES Classic
- Nothing seems to work when I load up any game (I only have CPS2 games) on Final Burn Alpha on the SNES Classic. As far as I can tell, none of the inputs (directions or buttons) are doing anything. I canāt add coins either. The weirdest thing is that I can bring up the FBA menu with Start+Select, but once the menu is loaded, I again canāt seem to do anything.
Still going to do some troubleshooting, but I donāt really have idea what could be the issue at this point.
These were just barebone PCBs for the longest time, so I couldnāt test them in stock form before hacking them. Iāve tested with both an official and a knock-off Wii Classic Controller and had no issues. At first I thought it mightāve been due to the way the two analog sticks were neutralized, but I couldnāt see any indication of anything wrong when using this on a Wii-U (the cursor was not moving or anything).
Any thoughts?
