anyone know if the Myoungshin Fanta sticks that Focus Attack currently stocks are the old revisions or the new ones? I’m looking at a possible update to my Crown 309MJ, and was curious to know. I don’t want to order from ETokki unless I can absolutely help it, because of the shipping costs.
From my understanding, the Myoungshin sticks underwent a revision recently that makes them a little harder to mount in Japanese cases (my Qanba would obv fit this). In the event that they’re the new ones, could I use the mounting plate from my 309MJ and mount it that way?
I recently purchased my first fight stick, it is a madcatz Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 TE for xbox 360. The stick works is perfectly fine however I would like to be able to use it on my ps2 so i could marvel vs. capcom 2 (i obviously really like this game lmao). I bought 2 adapter’s to help me with this, the first one being a brooks adapter for ps3/ps4 to ps2, the other being a mayflash Magic-S for ps4. they work when used together, however when the Magic-S adapter is plugged into the brooks adapter it constantly inputs up so when i’m playing i’m constantly jumping. it only does this when the magic-s is plugged into the brooks and when the adapters are used separately they work perfectly fine. both adapters are on their latest firmwares. is there any reason why it’s like this? and ideas on how i could fix this? or should i just mod my stic and install a ps3 PCB or the Brook UFB and not deal with the magic-s at all?
Does the inside of this panel have a standard mounting plate that’s found in commercial arcade sticks or does it just have standoffs? How will it hold up without an acrylic overlay protecting it? Thanks.
If it is anything Like Jasen’s other sticks, there 4 mounted screw studs in the panel, and you get some spacers for the proper height mounting.
You can do without a acrylic panel on top, the paint is pretty tough. But if you are wanting any sort of design or art work, I say get a Plexy. I would recommend a Plexy regardless.
Thanks for the response. The reason I wanted it was to have the bare steel under my hands, I really like the way the 2017 fighting edge aluminum panel feels. I wish these replacement panels were brushed stainless steel.
In light of the new CPT / Evo rulings for custom controllers, specifically hitboxes, I’ve got a few questions and concerns:
I have a Brook UFB. While Mode 1 and 2 are currently tournament legal, they said they’d prefer SOCDs to output neutral or just send SOCDs through unaltered and let the game handle it. If it comes to this, I want to be ready.
Do Brook boards allow you to disable the onboard SOCD cleaner by shorting the terminals or holding a combination of keys?
Does the SOCD cleaner work if the board is in LS mode?
Are there any disadvantages to using LS Mode vs DP Mode?
The Standalone PS3/PS4 does (check the user doc), but the UFB does not.
UFB uses the standard SOCD Neutral filtering.
Yes. It does not matter what mode the joystick is set to, DP, LS or RS the SOCD cleaner is still works.
LS supposedly lags more than DP as there some board level conversion of the On/Off signals to LS output. This is especially so on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
But some PC games only accepts LS.
I’ve been playing with the Seimitsu LS-40 occasionally and really like the short engage/throw. My favorite lever is the Hori Hayabusa Optical, is there any way to make my optical Hayabusa feel like an LS-40? I’d like for the optical to have the LS-40’s short engage and throw. Thank you.
I don´t want to bump the old HORI RAP thread just to ask this.
Which joystick can i mount on a Hori RAP 4 Kai with proper height? i´d like to mount a Different Joystick (non Hori Hayabusa neither Sanwa JLF)… Any recommendation? Can i mount the LS3201 without having to swap to the flat plate?
Has anyone mounted a fanta myoungshin in a HRAP3?
Besides opening it up to 35mm which is not an issue.
Just curious if it will mount up using the 2019 plate or if a universal flat plate is needed
I’m opening up the hole to 35mm so low profile collar not needed . also seems the 2019 edition comes with Japanese mounting plate so I should be good. I’ll scoop up a kowal just in case
