Abel Match Videos

That Abel wasnt that good really, didnt do many combos but his timing was great to get that Ultra off as the Seth was recovering from Focus Attack… man Seths vitality is lame!

Your much better than this, I think you need to spend more time learning to get to grips with your custom stick. By the way what kind of stick is it?

honestly there was little lag. playing one bar was interesting, that was why i missed some combos. i listen to criticisim though, always send me back to training mode. btw that is not his real character. plays sagat and gouken. not played against his sagat yet but destorys me with gouken( its soo sad)

Ah thats ok dude, I’ve had nightmares trying to pull off combos with laggy games Grrr

Look forward to seeing you online sometime

Here’s one from a local tournament. You’ll notice I get hit by some jumping attacks trying to do EX falling sky. That morning I figured out a retarded juggle setup with it on Sagat and was trying my ass off to do it (bad idea). The rest of it is just me getting shit on.

Nice play ghostmaker. I would suggest that you don’t bother trying ex TT on their wake up tho. You’ll either guess wrong and get thrown, or guess right and pray that you had the right timing to hit them in the 1-3 frames he can be thrown during his wakeup tiger upper.

For better wake up options, I would charge FA and backdash a baited tiger upper. Then charge a FA and release it when they think you’re simply baiting again. You can also mixup between sweeps cancelled into wheelkicks (not that safe, but okay to do every now and then) and rolls, and f.mk dash mixups. Another one I’m thinking of trying is to stand back far enough where I don’t think they’d try a wakeup tiger upper, then dash forward and TT.

Yeah, i’m not really sure why I did that. I was totally thinking in my head “walk up and block,” and I just did it anyways.

you didnt watch

did you?
I use falling sky a ton and works fine to discourage shotokans.

falling sky = super situational, it has very little use outside of combos.

and for Sagat’s jumping mp, just jump back fp when you see him leave the ground, should stuff all the time. ex fs trade into ultra is VERY risky, i dont recommend using that in a ranbat lol

i think that vid is not a good example for Abel users
Non-EX Sky Falls dont beat out jumping attacks consistently
i think it worked in that vid becuz the Ken user kicked immediately after jumping, losing its active frames by the time u grab him
thats wat it looks like to me, but im not a SF4 pro so someone else should prolly analyze my post

Does c.fp not work against sagat’s j.mp? It looks like he’s in the position to at least trade for the AA c.fp.

BTW, BustaBust has new vids out: http://www.youtube.com/user/xbstx

we don’t need stuff that “works on stupid people”

Those were some nice matches, that one against Sagat in particular was lulz worthy.

a well timed jumping mp from sagat beats or trades everything from abel, including cr.mk and cr.fp, an air to air fp is your best option against that imo

if the jumping mp is at max range cr.fp will beat it or has a better chance to beat it than to trade.

In upper levels you try and rely on the falling sky you going to get anal raped.

Very entertaining video with good play from Abel & Dictator

lol some people enjoy anal rape(not me though LOL), its more like an ear/eye rape. XD

shrug, as I recall life is a bell curve, the majority of the game is average by definition.
move works for me most of the time, just not when i try and do it off reaction.

or you can just eat jump ins… cuz that would be helpful.

The point is, the majority of the people here (I’d say 90%) don’t want to be “average”. We’re here to become better than average… great even. That goes for everyone in the Ryu/Ken/Akuma forums too. Stop handing out your scrub advice to people who don’t want it. It’s like telling a Rocket Scientist to read “Physics for Dummies”
