oh cool, someone else is postin vids! haha anyways here are some things i noticed. you should use f+mk kick more. at certain times i saw that you couldve done f+mk into a combo. 2 times i remember were when the ken player missed a cr.fp thats when you shouldve done it. also towards the very end you did ex rekka. you really want to save the 2 bars to fadc into ultra since you have a wide variety of options to combo into ultra (or thats what i usually do) unless you are positive it will hit. the ken player loved to fireball also so you probably could’ve turtled a bit and just baited the fireball. nice to see someone else postin vids though
yeah, somehow i forgot to use the f+mk dash… my reaction is still kinda slow and failure to punish obvious mistakes cost me the win… but yeah im hoping that i could learn more from watching videos of myself and who knows maybe some people can point out things that i couldnt see…

made a lot of mistakes and timing errors in that one though haha. next week’s gonna be better.
let me assure you that ex wheel kick sucks at close range hah. the only time i use it is to either go through projectiles (which even then i rarely use) or if its a for sure chip win. also you can ultra after ken’s missed a lot later than u did it. he has a slow recovery kinda so you can even wait til he is about ot hit the ground and ultra. glad you are getting vids out man. trust me it helps your game.
I noticed you were laying off or running away alot of the times, your playing the one character in the game that cant turtle and has to rush-in! you need to stay on your opponent as much as possible, a perfect example is at 0:25 you had him at knock down but started to walk away from him…at that point you could have crossed him up and gone for a jab string/cr.strong into rekka/ cr.fierce/or throw-command throw to restart the mixup. If your opponent sees youre not in his face then he has no reason to be scared of the massive damage abel can do, you gotta keep the pressure on! :karate:

haha yeah i know abel’s not a turtle character… my only defense was that im really really new to playing fighting games seriously and that video was taken at the very end of the 3-4 hours marathon so everyone was pretty tired lol…
im learning though, and yeah my combo game is really bad at the moment, you’ll rarely see me pull off combos that abel should’ve done… not feelin bad about it though i know that i just need to practice more and get better thats all :D.

well i agree with abel not being a turtle character but if you are playing to win in a tournament, at times you kind of have to turtle (against certain characters). if you have ultra,2 or more ex bars and the life lead. wait, wait it out trust me. they will fuck up and you will find your opening.
