I’m so jealous of you Hfz, getting to play in TRF tourneys. but the one thing that struck me as particularry odd in your matches is your use of st.lp. It;s not all that great and sometimes you spammed it and got punished cause they were crouching.
lol yeah the buttons are kinda weird(the cabs’re ghetto as hell lol) usually when you see me spamming st.lp in the vid, i was tryin to do lp command throw but upon realizing it didnt come out i panicked and mash st.lp LOL
trf tourneys’re cool indeed, but ive only been to the beginner’s, i bet the higher levels are more fun to watch.
I dunno I’d be happy for any lvl of semi competitive play, there’s no arcade machines (sf4) near me so no regulars to play there and I don’t know of any local player any way 
Nearest tournaments to me r gonna be London and that’s half the coutrny away!
Wow Hav. Just that one tourney vid proved to be inspiring to an Abel player like myself, especially since you were at the C3 tourney that’s only like 15 minutes away from me. I’ll try to make it to the next one (with hopefully a teammate) in hopes of meeting and learning from you (though I’m sure the rest of the comp can be very helpful also if you don’t show up).

I agree, that was pretty bad. Maybe he thought they were both feints. You have to remember that since this was winner’s finals that they’d been playing for like five hours already so they were bound to make some mistakes eventually. However, there’s still some pretty good play in there. PJ’s rushdown is rather impressive with his fireball pressure and demon flip mixups. That Demon out of the EX Tatsu was devilsh.
Basically, I think that PJ just didn’t have any experience in the matchup and didn’t know how to deal with Abel.

Abel got alot of c.lp in, although i’m sure it doesn’t hit low. Not much wheel kicks either, just full on rushes - yesD!

Really enjoyed that Abel. I did see a vital missed ultra opportunity off of anti-air c.HP though during round 1.

Abel’s great against people that have no idea how to fight him, or characters with no good reversal.
That Abel looked pretty wack to me.
I’m surprised that Abel was ranked AAA, to be honest. When you see people of a certain rank in japanese matches you have certain expectations of them… like… not to whiff a bunch of crouching jabs… or to connect a fwd> cl. fierce… and especially don’t miss free opportunities for ultra. He missed THREE. It was alright at best.
his rush down was great, he missed a few things though and why he did falling sky instead of roll c.hp roll tt or mix up is odd
