I nominate we just put “fuck this matchup” in place of the current Akuma Strategy.
I don’t think it’s so much the match as it is the game mechanics themselves. Its like say Akuma does neutral standing far RH. He gets frame advantage, thats cool and all, but he’s also kinda far away technically so I should be able to stick something out (st short for example) and get a clean counter hit because of the distance of Akuma’s body allowing me to keep him out and that being my “safest” option. But the way hitboxes and this game work is like I stick it out, I don’t even get a trade, I just get beat out.
Ok so stick out T + mk, no I get thrown.
Like Abel is a good character and all, but I think the mechanics of the game don’t allow him to play his full potential, design-wise. Like if Abel gets into a certain spot or position, its almost helpless because the mechanics limit you, and your only option is to leave yourself open by jumping, fuck that.

Thats an old video taken in July though was only uploaded yesterday, of me gettin my ass handed to me by Mago. I was destroyed mentally early(at that time ive never really trained/practiced with a good feilong to know about all the shit he can pull off) and it all went downhill afterwards. I focused way too much, which was bad because to me this is one of the matchup where I should never use FA. He made me so scared to push any buttons and then bam, command grab into yummy combo. 
Granted, I knew the matchup better now and its still winnable imo but still can be a major pain in the ass.
Some endless match vids, me vs a friend of mine who mains Guy. We played 21 sets and he won 12 of them. Right now Ive uploaded only the ones I won, lol I know kinda an asshole of me. I’ll watch the matches Ive lost first before picking out which ones are worth uploading(where I didnt fuck up so much haha). I apologize if some of the vids are scrubby, I admit I need to practice more in executing my combos, especially when im facing right… also need to punish more of those obvious backdashes(on wake up or after a blocked ex hazanto etc) and stop a bunch of other bad habits like focusing too much, random U2…

maybe a noob question, but is Fei longs’ wheel kick, just like sagats’ tiger knee, in terms of frame advantage after you block them both? If you block the tiger knee, you can get a free TT.
On Block:
LK Chicken Wing = -4
MK Chicken Wing = -2
HK Chicken Wing = 0
none are TT’able
Sagats are much more negative on block
Honestly I dont mind the being mean part, I knew I already lost the match before it even started. I thought Tokido was going to come that day (lost to him in the prev ranbat) so I spent my time preparing against gouki only to find out that day instead of him, Mago gonna turn up instead. At that time my fei long matchup experience was mostly against weak to mid level fei long where i can still play footsies and abuse far st.mp and all that and they couldnt do that crazy as damage consistently so I didnt know how scary he could really be. Like most top players, Mago’s also known for having crazy reaction and that alone made it so hard to do anything, there’s also the psychological factor of going against a top player + being in a tourney/ranbat, those matches werent casuals. Of course in the end, he won because he was clearly the better player(by a huge mile), so no excuse there.
But boy you sure made yourself look silly by making that TT after blocked “wheel kick” statement… CW is pretty safe against abel, unless he does it from a distance where i can react with s.mp, and if i messed that up, i eat a full combo which hurts like a bitch.
Plus not all TK is a free TT on block anyway.

Had a chance to play skatan a few nights back got 4 games recorded two vs his sakura and two vs his (i assume) new main chun li. They will be the first videos of me playing i will of put on srk so be a nice time to get some feedback. Alas i lost all of them but enjoyed playing against someone of his calibre.
Wow that was impressive! I personally think sanford was better off sticking to cammy, some of the stuff ryder did vs his viper was great though. Particularly liked the cr lp corner reset. If you notice the first time he did it he did nothing to test the waters/bait the reversal also putting it in sanfords head a reversals a bad idea. Then next time he did the exact same setup but did the dash under after the cr lp into a bnb clever stuff.
skatan is a fucking beast with sakura, I didnt play him, but I watched him destroy my friend. and when my friend gave me a chance 2 fight he switched to ryu :(. oh and chun is one of his mains. Anyway looking forward for the vids
