10 years long…10 years strong…I have been on many forums in those years…but only SRK is where I have remained.
Reading all this shit makes me wish I would’ve joined the family back in '03 when I found this place looking for MvC2 combos. It’s real good to hear the OG’s talk about this place like it was the wild west or something. Makes me wish I could be a part of that but the shit I’ve seen since I’ve been here is just as crazy though.
But congrats to SRK for making it 10 years and I really hope for a whole bunch more because I don’t know where I’d be internet wise without this place.

Moved from GameFAQs, and was looking for a place for Marvel strats. First signed up early 2002. Noticed there were other Capcom and SNK games being discussed, so I got hooked.
Stayed for the strats and the humor.

?I posted on agsf2 way back when to try to learn more about 2i. Then when 3s came out, I wrote a shitty Urien FAQ and wound up registering here.
?I used SRK to find competition in LA and showed up at a few tourneys, went down to SHGL when I could.
?But I was only into 3s, and CVS2 and MVC2 were the shit around that time.
?It was only when the Toronto kids started tricking out 3s and we started seeing Japanese vids that 3s started to get hotter and the Family Fun arcade got rockin.
?Most of my time was spent in FGD or other strat threads, and I used to think of GD as some pretty retarded shit. At some point though I started posting in GD and have done so ever since.
?GD wasted a lot of time but introduced me to a lot of good shit: DS, 360, CoD, new rap, new friends

?I don’t even really play fighters all that much anymore (though I’m hyped for Super), I’m more into shooters nowadays but I stay posting here because it’s fun :lovin:

Joined in 2002 with my stupid (and still current) handle but didn’t really post much. Just read a lot of threads that either helped my MvC2 game or made me laugh endlessly.
Off the top of my head, the one quote I can remember was from SAM. His “YOU WANT PAIN? YOU WANT PAIN? AEGIS REFLECTOR!” was in so many sigs around that time.

There’s also the question of how one defines “lurking.” Reading GD, as one always does, and silently partaking in the lulz? Signing up for an account, reading briefly, then forgetting the password for a year? Coming on once in a while just to check out the strategy forums? (That one’s me.)
I’ve been around since this time of year in 2000. But there’ve been times when I dropped completely off the radar; months, even years on end without so much as a peep from me. I’ve met only a few people here, but they’ve been really good friends to me over the year.

I remember when i originally joined in '01 I didn’t lurk,several dumb posts later i learned. 
It’s incredible to think how much this site has changed over the years and how many advancement have been made in fighters and gaming in general.If someone told me 10 years ago that i’d be playing 3rd Strike on my pc online alongside Street Fighter 4(street fighter 4 son!) I would have laughed in their faces.
But even though there have been ups and downs here and there.I don’t think I’d change any of it(ok i’d change a bit).I’ve made a lot of great friends through Street Fighter and SRK in general and being a part of the SRK community as a whole is a huge honor for me and i’m glad to be a part of it.
Have a good New Year’s and heres to another 10 awesome years of SRK

this site really helped me rekindle my passion for Fighting games.
if only i had known about tournament/high end fighting play in in the early 2000’s when i was all about MVC2 and Tekken Tag, but only played with roommates.

Good community. Glad to be a low-key member of it for as long as I have.
I remember I made this name because I saw a lot of people in the MvC2 forum with “Higher Magneto” in their avatars, so I figured I’d try to develop a “Higher Jin.” Of course, Jin is absolute trash, and I don’t even use him in MvC2 anymore.
Still, it’s been fun.
lurked for awhile around 01-02, but for some reason couldnt reg in 02, so early 03 had to do. anyways, even after i signed up i just kept lurking since everyone seemed to know what they were talking about. i thought i’d keep my silly opinions to myself for a bit. i started posting more in late 04/05, but still kept a pretty low profile.
i miss the phrase “this thread is digiorno”.
I remember being introduced to SRK by a member here named, MagnetiX.
First thing he told me was not to introduce myself - then showed me why lmao. That was back in 03 then I finally joined in 05. I wish I was more active but, nevertheless, I love being here.
