"3s players will like SFxT"

Game feels…unrefined. Probably be ok for a couple of months but the generic gameplay and ugly look is gonna wear thin.

The throw range on SFxTK is really small, and there are also no stupid reversal windows.
It also seems to me the the Anti Air game isn’t as easy as using an uppercut or an anti air move.
The jump in properties of a lot of pokes are very funky. Need to mix it up more.
I can tell that footsies in this game 6 months from now are going to be very intense.
Rolling after a knockdown nerfs the meaty game, but it also increases the options available to you.

In short, I feel that in SFxTK, whenever you knock your opponent down, you have the advantage
unlike SF4 where knocking down an opponent forced you to always go for some sort of ambiguous jump, because you were at a disadvantage on the ground.

This is not 3S, but I haven’t played footsies like this since 3s, so I’m liking it a lot so far

I will say, yeah, DP priority is out the window here. I had Ken’s fierce DP beaten cleanly by a jump-in, as far as I remember. Totally one of those WTF moments.

So then if DP isn’t a anti-air, 3s players will feel right at home.

Best anti airs are normals. Gotta learn which normals are best for which characters. DPs are going to trade alot.

Also, online with a decent connections feels like online in 3SOE with a decent connection - right down to the sound glitches.

okay so

rankings time

SFxT > MK9 > KOF13 > SSF4 > UMvC3

that feels about right for current gen fighting games

why is kof 13 3rd?

You the guy in his party most of the time?

because SFxT is pretty fun so far and I dig MK9 as well

those aren’t weighted rankings though. weighted would have KOF a few more >>> over SSF4. I’m not much of a fan of those last two.

Word, plus SFXT hasn’t even been out for a week yet…

“Why isn’t it 1st?” is the real question.

I understand, I have a love/hate relationship with KOF13 currently…I kinda wish there was a 1 on 1 option, the only char that feels right to me is Mai, and Im just not interested in the others outside of like her and Kim, so it sucks trying to grind out with other chars so it doesnt end with me trying to take out the guys whole team with just mai.

EDIT: the main reason I cant quit it no matter how terrible I am, is because its such a pretty game. Also I have alot of fun with Mai

I was gonna go there, but I’m no connoisseur myself.

Sessha: 3 on 3 is vital to the main game because of choosing the proper order against your opponent.

KoF13 the only game so far this gen that feels like it’ll get played for 10 years.

AE2012 will be off the radar 2 years from now, if not next year. Don’t count the game’s life from SF4, ST and 3S lifes aren’t counted from SF2WW and SF3NG.

No opinion on SFxT, voting with my wallet, keep pay to win the fuck away from my fighters.

Pick flame Iori. He’s always a consistent character, a Swiss army knife move-set, and he’s pretty basic. Haven’t played him in 13, but I’m sure he still has retarded hit stun on his cross-up.

If you’ve got solid KOF fundamentals, you should have no trouble picking him up.

most likely yeah. are you a buddy of his?

I kind of understand, but making a 1 vs 1 option, even if it’d be optional, would ruin the point of KoF, in my opinion. It’d kind of feel like putting a console game into SBO YEAH THATS RIGHT SHOTS FIRED WHAT WHAT WHAT** **

I agree, I have no exp with snk games anyway so its def tough for me.

at this point I really am only playing the game for mai, I just find her so fun. I find it easier to play footsies with her too.

as for SFxT, I get my copy tommorow. The dudes that I play 3S with at the arcade seem to really like it. seems interesting

thats more like it

Yo aku you salty about console games invading SBO?
