when the hell is skullgirls gonna come out???
well you can basically hit confirm into super off chains links, and even off just straight up pokes like in 3S. i tested some stuff with ken real quick just to see.
standing strong links to super, low strong links to super. course you can do the jabs and shorts into super although it feels funky coming from 3S.
the thing that feels odd is you cant super cancel specials, at least as far as ive seen.
also, hey ryu has joudan back.
This game looks wack.
Not trying to be a groupie here but I will admit there’s a few things I like about SFxTK: It’s aggressive, you have the option of turning off those retarded input shortcuts, no huge reversal window, and meaties interrupt wakeup attacks.
BUT the game still looks pretty dumb from an aesthetic point of view. It looks like a project that had too many cooks in the kitchen. Plus gems are retarded.
I don’t get the point of an Auto-block Gem: Sure, the game is aggressive but there’s no guard crush at all and there’s no short hops or tricky shit like KOF, and that game can be hard as fuck to block correctly in even if you know what you’re doing. So why even have auto-block anyway?
I’m still not buying it out of protest for how 3SOE was handled. I’ll probably torrent it once it’s on PC for shits 'n giggles.
this…I like this.
Because to use alpha counter, you press forward like parry; therefore, 3S players will like SFxT. lol
The game looks fun though.
Ha, I used to have that as my avatar.
ha I guess that explains it. I’m just sick of hearing “3s players will like it.” If I like it, I’ll say so! Nobody needs to tell me that I’ll like it!
Still won’t be trying it though (Unless someone gave me a $25000 reason to too)
i wish i had 25,000… ill do anything… ill sell my pride and soul…
oh wait i do… and im still not a sell out like pherai gouki
it’s p fun. try to find someone with it and goof around.
dander and I are playing doubles all night tonight I think. We already did earlier. when you play doubles the lag way the networking works is like 10x better than normal. we tried playing against each other and its kind of a mess. we expect as much since its cali to nj, thats about as far as you can get.
but when we play doubles it works ridiculously well for some reason. like not perfect but fucking GOOD.
not saying this game is excellent or anything but being able to play with dander on tag team across the country is dope. no lie.
it ain’t no 3S and it definitely isn’t going to replace 3S for me, but it’s different and in most cases in a good way.
maybe I will try it. I know my boy misterbean97 aka bean sama is super stoked on it. He’s pledged to make a full comeback this year
game is pretty good not gonna lie, its enjoyable as hell for me, but I think I just like it because of the flexible juggles and flashiness.
Also I have a colored condom fetish.
do it you scrub.
LIVE A LITTLE.
uh MODS?
played it a few hours today
I like it better than SF4 at least!
the game is ugly as fuck, but fun, ill admit; it’s no MvC2 killer for me though
Bean’s coming back? Sick!
SFxT… eh, it’s growing on me. It definitely doesn’t feel as sluggish as SSF4 did to me, and at the very least, there’s no FADC shenanigans. The one thing that’s bothering me is how easy it is to run away in the game. So far, I’ve heard talk about getting your damage in and just turtling it out. Strategy is strategy, but eh. At the very least, running Abel/Ken is so retarded.
It’s fun so far…but ugly.
theres definitely some weirdness right now as people adjust to things and discover all their potential options.
i think everyone has multiple ways to safely start very damaging combos its just a matter of getting comfortable enough to really use all of them. so many attacks are safe on block and there are a lot of attack strings that have odd timing.
dander and i have been playing paul (me) and hugo. pretty fun. paul is dope. his forward + fierce is an overhead that has a huuuuuge amount of cancellable frames. long enough to hit confirm into his phoenix punch, which if you EX, does wallbounce and so on. it’s pretty rad.
The statement is incomplete. It should be, 3S Chun players will like SFxT since, when you have a full bar of meter, you bascially want to land that :d::mp:,:qcf::mp:+:mk: for 50% damage.
It has a weird dichotomy where it feels easy to run away since half the cast (the Tekken characters) don’t seem to have effective answers to fireballs. Yet at the same, certain things about the game make it easier to get in than SFIV (better jump arcs, DPs that don’t hit cleanly and trade more, comboing out of overheads, etc.).
