Does anyone else keep hearing this? Why do people think 3s players want to play this turd? With a 3s SBO on the horizon, the LAST fuckin thing I’m doing is picking this game up.

Take anything said from players connected at all with Cross Assault with a bit of skepticism. Plus SF4 was awesome the first month we had it, then all the bullshit become obvious. Likely to encounter the same with SFxT.
Also don’t forget Rock’s original opinion about SFxT before the capcops cracked down on him - he said he would probably never play SFxT again.

Doesn’t look like it’s going to be as cheap or interesting as 3S. Too much stuff to cater to new people and the damage scaling looks real forced like SFIV. I want that old game damage and punishing situations. It’ll probably be better than SFIV but not by much and well I’m just done with the 2d/3d representations of SF. I never played much MVC2 so MVC3 is at least something unique for me. Especially considering there’s way more than 3 playable characters/assists.

Actually I like SFxT! Maybe because Raven looks too similar to Wesley Snipe.
And yes, this game is much more fun to play than SFIV series.

I had hope for SF games when that came out. I lost hope when 30847390749 versions came out after it, all of which sucked in comparison.
I don’t understand the elitist opinion on games. “If it aint 3S, I don’t care”. I’ll be picking up the game and enjoying it.

aside from how offensively strong ultras were, yeah it was better. at least combos did damage.
i’m picking it up today. it looks actually somewhat fun, at least compared to ssf4 which really just feels like you’re grinding the other player to a slow death 90% of the time.
I didn’t pay any attention to it until like 3 weeks ago. If you are at all a Tekken fan, or have any history with that series, I think it’s kind of exciting. Tekken 2 and 3 are where I first really touched fighting games. So the idea of playing with Kazuya in 2D sounds pretty cool to me.
people might be comparing it due to things like juggles that look sort of 3S-like in some cases. Obviously that’s a really bad comparison but 99% of the people who play fighting games really have no good idea of what 3S is about or how its played.
According to even some of your FFA crowd pherai baiting air parries is common practice in 3S and reversals are non-existent. Sounds like you must have demolished a lot of people lol. because if thats how 3S was, akuma would raepraepraep with impunity.

I’m playing this because goddamnit, this game just HAD to put in both Poison and Asuka. Even I can have my faggy-ass fanboy moments, I’m not perfect.
And the only reason why people are saying “3s players might like this” is most likely because of Renic and Rockefeller getting so far in Cross Assault. Personally, this game seems kinda like a 2.5D CvS2 with hard tags more than 3S.
EDIT: P.S.- Street Fighter 4 always sucked. It just evolved into different types of suck over the years.
i’ve been playing it since friday and i like it. its decent. the SF roster is WAAACCCKKKKK to me but im having fun using king and the tekken cast. i liked cvs2 so it feels the same. the ken and ryu character models are so horrible though lol. King is fun as hell to use though.
plus the bs in SF4 doesnt fly in sfxt. thank god
Socal 3s players always had another game they played besides 3s on the side. Remember DoTa or Gunbound? Its a new game. Renic & even Rockefeller are having fun with it now. Just try it out. If you still think its turd, then no loss there.
