"3s players will like SFxT"

Someone’s never played as Elena.

Or Sean, or Dudley, or Yun. All of these can either get beaten by a throw or trade with a heavy normal.

Dudleys ex DP is the most damaging EX in the game tho

Big damage doesn’t always make a thing good, though. Compare Dudley’s EX DP to Akuma’s HP Shoryu.

You can like both games at the same time, you know.

Oh yeah, and you get meter from whiffing normals, I think. :stuck_out_tongue:

The game honestly looks like a Kuso game right now. It just looks fucking retarded and I doubt patching will fix anything.

Someone just learned a new japanese word

I’d get it for lulzy Chun & Ling antics if the game right now wasn’t £38 + £20 DLC = $100 :s
Don’t remember having to pay extra for gems on Saturn Marvel Super Heroes…
Plus I see it’s been hacked already, and full of hate mail sendin’ masher trolls, zzz

Still, nice to see Hugo finally blowin’ up! “who the hell is this guy!? …argh!!!”

This game is kinda becoming fun for me…only the tekken chars…hcf+k for lightning legs? Blasphemy.

Haha. http://romancancel.blogspot.com/search/label/kusoru

Tried this game yesteday. Hugo is seriously very fun in this game. Sure his walk speed is like the slowest in the game and he’s also the largest character in the game, but he’s very fun to play as and he does big damage with combos and his normals are good (mp, c.lk, c.mk) Splash is still like the best jump-in in the game, the only move that cleanly beat it was some Juri normal, c.hp maybe. Other than that I could continously splash people left and right with them being unable to do anything about, then hitconfirm into combo if it hit (c.mp x lp clap, c.mp x lk lariat, c.lp x lp clap, mk back breaker) Other than that looping c.lk x lp clap was pretty funny too. His super being the bastard child of Gigas and SA3 is a sin, though.

Still a pretty silly and dumb game IMO. Wouldn’t buy it.

Every time I try to rent Twisted Metal at a Red Box it’s out of stock and SFxTK is there. I’m tempted to rent it for $2 a day just to see if it’s as bad as it is. Just like when you read how bad a film is and how badly it bombed and you have that morbid curiosity and decide to rent Battlefield Earth or the Garbage Pail Kids Movie and immediately regret it.

It’s not that bad louis ol buddy ol pal.
Some stuff is fun, some stuff not as much. It’s not some brilliant godly game, but it’s alright. If you have a buddy to play with, I suggest renting it for a night or two and going online as a team. You get to bitch together and waste each others’ meter. it’s good fun.

I seriously doubt SFxT is as bad as Battlefield Earth. It’s probably…Kung Pow bad. Just gotta look for the “dubbed old movie footage” portion of the game.

I just saw Skullgirls preview tourney at Finest KO. Totally beats the pants off all the Capcom games for me. I can’t even look at SFIV or SFxT and well…Ultimate is fun cheese like I like so I’ll keep playing that. Only thing comparable is KOF13 but 3 on 3 + custom assists…I gotta get in there.

Long live 3S though.

it’s a shame that games style will turn many people away (i think).
characters are a pretty big turn off for me. the overall vibe feels like highschool livejournal.

not appealing at all. I really do not understand that decision.
it reminds me of a guy I went to college with. he was an awful illustrator and wore those rave pants with all the straps and stuff, and goggles on his forehead. all black, dyed purple hair. loved invader zim (at 24), etc. etc. etc.

the game has that kind of vibe all over it.

If anything Guilty Gear really should have turned a lot of people away before it got going. The character designs were extremely weird even for the time and if anyone remembers what Guilty Gear 1 looked like (THE PS1 version) that I originally played…it was definitely a game you had to learn to appreciate visually. The game had abnormally high frame count for a system that was known for doing 2d games very shitty but of course the game resolution wise had to suffer for such. The backgrounds were also pretty generic due to.

With any good game people will learn to see past strange artwork choices.

To me it’s like weirder Guilty Gear artistically but has a much bigger PR/media backbone behind it with streams and facebook and all of that shit. Guilty Gear wishes it could have gotten the hype that this game is getting before release. Especially with how cheap it is and how anime/comic con friendly the animation/art is…I feel the game is pretty set.

It reminds me of Garbage Pail Kids Movie for the WTF nature and it’s target audience. Was it made for kids? If so, why are there panty shots and shit you’d never see in a kids film. If it’s made for adults than it’s too dumb and child like to be appreciated. If it was made for all audiences than it repulses both and fails miserably.

The similarities of SFxT to 3s are…

Heavily dependent on spacing, hit confirms and low reliance on projectiles.
Hugo is pretty fun to play, he plays very similar to his 3s counterpart, with armored moves in place of the parry system.

That is about it.

The majority of 3s players I know would not want to play SFxT, or the players who play it.
