"3s players will like SFxT"

I hate it when tebbo uses my meter. Just lemme launch you in!

:frowning:

i’m too dumb to remember to use chain combos. feels dirty to my fingers.

Just throwing this out there: Say I want to make a fighter, just an idea at this point. Has Magic Series combos (not like Marvel 3, but more like Real Bout 2 or Kizuna Encounter) but the parry system is just like 3S, 10 frame window, 2 frame window to red parry, etc. And meaties interrupt non-ex wakeup attacks. There’s EX moves but no selectable supers. It’s not an anime game, very serious sort kinda’ like Weapon Lord. Has a 2.5D style similar to Rumble Fish or this recent Chinese KOF ripoff

Only on PC but offers options typical of an FPS with text chat, lobbies, host your own servers, replace the music of the game with whatever you want, color edits ala KOF13, true custom winquotes (write whatever you want), spectators, youtube upload, tournament settings, etc.

Would this be something the 3S community could get into? Because the 3S community as I know it prefers depth and options more than anything else.

I remember this game. Looked interesting, but couldn’t find any info about it then. Has this been released? Is it in English?

No idea.

Not a bad idea… but I don’t really dig magic series combos.

I actually kinda dug the artwork for GG1. It’s kinda weird (I love that stage with the wraiths in the background!) S&M dungeon type stuff in places. You can definitely see where the inspiration for future games’ artwork game from though. There’s even a frameskip option in the Options menu. xD

So like, are yall still playing this. Or has everybody already dropped it.

I went out and bought the game after playing it at FFA a few times, I think it’s fun, and that’s whats important right now. After spending two weeks with the game I can understand the suggestions towards 3s players.

Footsies are very important in SFxT, but just like 3s, some people tend to ignore them and just try and jump because jumping is VERY rewarding in both games. This is a problem I faced in 3s for years and realized you just have to understand what kind of player you’re going against from the get go. You cannot play footsies with someone that doesn’t play back.

Air to airs, no, not anti air’s. Anti airs in 3s are pretty bad, in most cases its better to just jump in the air and hit them out of their jump. This is KIND of the case for SFxT because doing an air to air normal is better than anti-air. But unlike 3s, anti air’s are still viable (SF cast.) but in general air to air are ALWAYS the better option due to juggling properties.

Hit confirming is probably where people nerd out and think that every 3s player should play this game. I kind of agree, I’m not exactly sure what game prior to 3s has had more importance on zoning/confirming than SFxT. But yeah, you will constantly be buffering link-able normals and confirming them to either a combo or tag combo or whatever the fuck they’re called. If they aren’t jumping all day this is where footsies plays a big role, if they are jumping you just have to either try and dash under or air to air, its definitely reminiscent to 3s.

That’s not to say that every 3s player will enjoy the game, just my opinion.

I understand where you’re coming from Metric but idk the block stun of the game just bugs me too much. I don’t understand why so much shit that in any other SF game would be punishable isn’t punishable in this game. The jab pressure is crazy from Rolento and Claw.

Idk maybe Kazuya just isn’t the right choice for me in this game… but he’s def the most fun I’ve played. The more I play the game the more I dislike it and would rather play either SSF4 or MVC3. Trading it in next time I get the chance.

Word, too much frame advantage on st.jabs~

It’s not hard to get by, it’s just annoying having to wait it out. Kazuya is great, my team is Kaz/Hugo and I think they play off each other really well. Play footsies with lowforward buffer st.RH and confirm launch to hugo for 45% is retarded easy. If you do decide to trade it in, I think you could probably get both UMvC3 and SSF4AE for your copy of SFxT.

Yeah that’s really what it is… I don’t want to wait it out! I want to parry that shit and punish you for not mixing it up! I guess being raised on 3s (it was my first fighter) really biased me.

Sfxt is ass just like all capcom fighters of the past few years, tho I reallly wanna play ttt2 now lol

I’ve dropped it altogether. I thought it was awesome for the first two days, then I actually figured out how it’s supposed to be played and my opinion of it came crashing down. Time to spend time getting to know KoF13 better. Maybe Persona 4 can do it for me, we’ll see.

I’ve told other people this and I guarantee you something: This is a game where everyone figures it out in the first month and retarded shit becomes the norm. After Evo it’ll die in tournies and pop back up once the DLC characters are officially unlocked but then it’ll die again soon.

Im tradin sfxt and a few other games in, what do yall think of umvc3? The models dont look ass bad as the other recent capcom games…maybe tekken 6?

Buy KOF13!

I love UMvC3 pretty much because it is like the exact opposite of KOF13. KOF13 is a honest game and Marvel is a complete broken mess that is really really really easy to play and be competent. You have to accept it for what it is though or you will hate it.

I already have that.

Buy it again and give it to someone to get them off the Capcom crack pipe.
