chun can’t deal with crossups. crossup forward, do whatever, crossup forward, do whatever…etc. also, ken’s s. rh beats chun’s s. fierce (props to guy who brought it up). anyway, ken is the best suited character to take down chun. also, if u use SA3, u can do it after u block chun’s c. rh. that’s some random shit right there. just rush her, she can’t deal with rushdown/crossup ken.
:D…
i totally agree with uber_soldat. About the only thing Chun can try to do against a cross-up rushdown is to walk a bit and do standing HK or back + HP. But she can’t do that all the time.
And regarding Ken’s standing HK, yeah, works like a charm! i used to get tempted lots to dash in on Chun when she’s in between back + HPs, but standing HK hits her faster than a dash throw or whatever and it will hit her if she tries to hit you again.
About Shippu right after Chun’s low HK, i think i’ll try that out.
not sure if this is common knowledge, but I just saw a Japanese vid where a guy links an UOH into strong fierce SAIII.
Sick stuff.
lol, personally i’ve never seen that work, (i’m guessing you have to distance it right while the opponent is crouching) but if it does, it’s not like ken needed it ;( it’s sick alright.
post new makoto stuff please, erco. ;D
hmm…
Yeah, UOH -> MP, HP -> Shippu works.
It was in one of Mopreme’s earlier vids. The key is to do a really meaty UOH.
Mopreme also did the same stuff using Ryu.
ex: (meaty) UOH -> HP -> HP Shoryuken xx Shinshoryuken
(meaty) UOH -> low LK 2x -> Shinkuu Hadouken
Really tough to land, but the damage is freaky :D.
i respectfully disagree. chun can air jump down fierce for immediate knockdown, she can jump back and hit fierce, or her best option, as soon as ken leaves his feet, she can air throw.
as far as ken’s s.rh. you better be careful with that. i believe she can straight up superII right afterwards. and even if i’m mistaken, if you whiff the rh, she can back fierce super on reaction, it’s not hard to do.
ken loses to chun. sad fact
NOOOOOOOOOO i was hoping nobody would say that ;’(
ken owns chun when chun has no super. Chun owns ken when chun has super. There is no inbetween.
Chun can be severely rushed down with ken when she has no supers… Use ken’s Low Rh when u parry her standing fierce or so… low forward is also good from a range… and abuse kens low strong when u get supers and get in… u have like a year to land a SA3 if u land ducking strong… If she likes to through out a lot of fierces or so… uppercut that shit… umm… and if u hit her with a dragon punch while she is jumping and she is too far to land another dragon punch… u can low roundhouse her in midair… ummm… any other questions just ask… ill be around… laterz
“and if u hit her with a dragon punch while she is jumping and she is too far to land another dragon punch… u can low roundhouse her in midair”
Can u sweep Chun in mid air?
yes u can… its one of the things i discovered while i was playing around at my arcade when it was still alive =(
this might be asked before, so forgive me for being repetitive!
how do i kara-dp x2?
this allows ken to do dp x2 anywhere on the screen!
thanks in advance!
cancel it with crouching forward. in essence, just do forward, down, down-forward + forward…jab – the ellipses denotes an extremely small delay. VERY small. most people can’t do it properly because of the awkward position of the fingers – i usually put my thumb inside and tap the forward with it, and the jab with my index.
thanks alot
what is kens kara throw I jst want to make sure.
Rh or fwd.
Which should I use?
What is really going to be the difference between using cr. strong and cr. forward? I know that cr strong has insane priority, but it seems that cr forward has better reach. Is there any particular times that I should use one or the other, or just stick to cr forward unless I’m trying to stuff a move?
man, you guys should think more than ask.
crouching strong can be parried both high and low.
crouching strong stuffs more moves.
crouching strong has a positive recovery rate.
crouching strong has a quicker start-up.
crouching forward has a larger cancel time window.
crouching forward has more reach.
crouching forward has more reach.
crouching forward has more reach.
now, can you figure out which to use when?
Thanks…ASS j/k
So what you’re saying is the forward has more reach??
Hehe, thanks exo
