I agree. It is not like he was being heard, in terms of game design. Well, we just have to check his comments about classic FGs and what SF4 is to be sure of that.
Any stream?

For the person up there that brought up patching HDR, Sven was pretty clear when he said on capcom unity that capcom had no plans to put development back into HDR when HDR was like a year old.
And now they are using classic. That’s hilarious.
^Yup. Top 4 about to stream now.
EDIT: Afrolegends takes it, with Afro Cole in 2nd, and Halfro in 3rd.
This just in, yellow fever is running rampant all around the world.

Thanks Jizzon and Rufus: top 4 was great. Afro looks just too strong. Congratulations.
As mentioned above … Capcoms biggest loss (along with Shinji Mikami) has to be Keiji Inafune , as he left.
I say that because i’m a hardcore Onimusha fan. Well…Megaman games too i guess.
But it’s pretty much the same thing with any gaming company nowadays. If anyone has been following all the recent Final Fantasy games , you know how shit they are. And that is ofcourse because of Sakaguchi leaving square in 2009-something.
Why is it that every single Korean song has to involve speaking English at some point?
Square-Enix hasn’t made a single good Final Fantasy since they merged. Final Fantasy X was the last truly good FF.
I had a lot of fun with XII; loved the playstyle of the “open world” format, and the hunts. Great characters and voice acting as well. The overall plot, though, just wasn’t what it was in X, and certainly nowhere near anything from the 16- or 32-bit era. The new ones just feel like expensive cash-in attempts.
I really wanted to like XII. The problem is the god awul levelling system for your AI. Instead of giving you buffs, it just gives you access to more specific inputs and commands. Basically, you’re coding script for AI behavior, but it’s extremely poor game design to lock out these specific inputs until you level up your character. So frustrating. That’s the primary reason why I couldn’t play the game anymore, the gameplay was so bad.
Also that 40-level tower bullshit.
Now the formula was improved by XIII, but I still hate how they don’t let you command all 3 characters in an efficient manner. Does Squeenix really think that today’s ADHD-ridden gamer can’t control more than one character? It wasn’t even that hard to control 3 characters. This problem plays out mainly when one of your characters is a healer, and they keep overhealing one character or never revive a character.
Even then, despite the fact that XIII was kind of fun and did a wonderful job exploring ALL of the members of your cast, it hardly felt like XIII due to the linearity of the game. XIII-2 is an absolute POS game that felt more like Pokemon than an RPG.
I liked XII as well, the music was amazing. Honestly, the game becomes pretty good if you just pretend that Vahn isn’t the main character. It wasn’t as fun as the PSX and SNES classics, but it was still a good (although different) Final Fantasy. Nowhere near the trash 13 and 13-2 is.
It didn’t register to me until I read this post that Halfro also has afro in his name. If it was really a contest of afros, then Cole should have won as he’s the only one among them with an actual afro.
Any video of the top 4? My alarm didn’t go off and I missed the live stream
I really loved XII’s battle system, and just don’t understand why they changed from it in XIII. Guess it just gets too hard to keep awesome game design when graphics are obviously the most important thing.
Starts around 2:06
Thank you good sir. Will watch soon as I get home form work.
<afro legends> papasi, there are no lCQ in SF
<afro legends> there should only be top 8
<afro legends> for grand finals
<afro legends> 4 US spots, 4 international spots
<papasi> you talked to the capcom officials about that?
<afro legends> pap, yes
<afro legends> its confirmed by me
<afro legends> no LCQ
<afro legends> though
<afro legends> just 8 spots for HD
<afro legends> that is for all eh quals worldwide
<afro legends> not for SF
<afro legends> i speak the truth
There are cash prizes for top 16, not making anything up, just what Capcom posted:
http://www.streetfighter25.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/final_tournament_prize_structure2.png
I already brought this up learn to read.
I think not every game is equal in this series of tournaments. Like SFxTK winner will get a car and sf2/3 got a smaller prize pool etc. I will not be surprised that they don’t pay out top 16 to sf2/3.
How they neglected to mention it’s not Remix mode we can assume that not everything in that PDF file is accurate.
