2012-2013 NFL Discussion and Fantasy - TornadoFlame vs Travis - The rest of you are bandwagoners

If by not on par you mean under par in the golf sense then yes Foster is under par while AP and CJ are even.

Foster probably gets points for getting to play against three really weak teams twice this year.

Meanwhile, Chris Johnson has to play the Texans defense.

You should have seen the Jags D against Foster ugh annoying.

CJ is not a top tier RB right now that is just the simple fact. Last year he SUCKED, Foster right now is the best RB depending on how AP comes back from his injury.

I actually think Shady is the best RB right now which makes the comment even more unfathomable. Foster is easily above AP and CJ though.

This is pretty much never true.

Lmao yeah I know but division rivals man have to watch them as painful as it is. But hey they got an punter super bowl bound.

Special Teams wins games in the AFC West. Dat Mile High altitude.

But then again, the Jags aren’t an AFC West team. :U

It’s just a shame they didn’t draft Pat Angerer two years ago so could have Anger and Angerer on their roster.

That’s right kids. If you get injured you automatically drop down the rankings. All of a sudden Alex Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Tim Tebow are better than Peyton Manning and Michael Vick. Which also makes the Arian Foster above AP and CJ comment stupid because Foster kept messing up his hamstring. I still wonder how good Foster is when that system can churn out thousand yard runners like candy if they can hold on to the ball. Ben Tate put up pretty much the same numbers Foster put up in his absense.

You guys can bet against CJ all you want. The guy wasn’t ready to play even when he finally played. He’s obviously one of the guys who needed an entire offseason. AP and CJ put up numbers vs 8 man lines. We saw how good Foster was when Schaub and AJ went down. I’m willing to bet CJ will put up at least 1300 rushing and 4.5+ ypc.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

CJ and AP have 0 to100 speed that Foster and McCoy and MJD don’t while having similar agility and balance (not better than Shady’s but it’s good). I’m not saying they’d be my top picks in fantasy. But for a REAL draft? They’re on the top of my list. And they should be on yours too.

AP I believe in. CJ I don’t.

Foster is top tier, but he’s not the best. If AP can (hopefully) come back from his injury, he’ll still be the best. Chris Johnson had some of the worst inside O-Linemen blocking for him last year, plus not being in shape really hurt him (I think he’ll bounce back, but he won’t put up 2,000 yards). MJD is also a top tier RB. The next tier would probably be McCoy and Ray Rice. Jamaal Charles has the potential to be top tier if he can come back from his ACL injury, but I don’t think he can be a premier RB (too small). There are some other solid backs but the top tier IMO is:

Adrian Peterson
Arian Foster
Maurice Jones-Drew
Chris Johnson (he’ll be better than last year, since they improved the guard position)
Darren McFadden (just needs to stay healthy, but hasn’t been able to do that)

2nd Tier:
LeSean McCoy (can potentially move up)
Ray Rice
Jamaal Charles (potential to be top tier, but I don’t think he can take the punishment
DeAngelo Williams/Jonathan Stewart (both are interchangeable)
Steven Jackson (will probably move down, has been a workhorse his whole career with little help)
Marshawn Lynch
Frank Gore (will probably move down, like Steven Jackson)

Not a lot to choose from, I guess.

Seahawks picked up Kellen Winslow today.

Seattle Seahawks = NFC Champions.

So the union sued the nfl today.

I may have Peyton Hillis as a late round pick/waiver wire pickup to have around for when Jamaal Charles gets taken out by a mascot again. He’ll steal some points at the goal line as well.

Ray Rice and LeSean 2nd tier, what???

Methinks those players might be on the screwed side here.
