After calming down (somewhat) and reflecting I will say that at least the Eagles clutched it out. Last year they couldn’t do that. This was the game vs Arizona last year and Minnesota two years ago where the Eagles would’ve lost. Good things that changed were that #1 Andy took his head out of his ass and gave McCoy the fucking ball for 6 straight plays and #2 the defense clutched it out too as they are VASTLY improved over last year.
This still doesn’t gloss over the fact that Vick played like total, utter dogshit for most of the game. Gods he was awful. Just staring down receivers all day. And what’s with his unnecessary spin move shit when he thinks he’s got pressure. STEP UP IN THE FUCKING POCKET! Go through your progressions and you’ll be fine. I think every player on the Eagles O-line got a fucking penalty. It seemed like every drive they started 1st and 20 or 2nd and 20. How many big runs did Shady get called back on?
The defense though… they’re set. I was beyond impressed. Cleveland only got completions on slants early, but after that, Aso shut that shit down. The tackling was fucking EXCELLENT. Ryans was BEASTING all day. Lots of TFLs. And the scary thing is… the Eagles didn’t get as much pass rush as I would’ve liked (but Cleveland has a really good o-line).
Cam looked like a bigger version of Vick’s sorry-ass today. The unnecessary spin move is apparently very vogue right now.

Joe Thomas is DEFINITELY a fucking beast. Arguable best O-Lineman in the game right now. Weeden honestly has no excuse for playing as bad as he did, he had easy TD’s lined up and he had all day in the pocket. Slants are nice and all, but if that’s the only pass you got, you are not going to last long in the NFL. Yes, your offensive personnel isn’t the best, but if you can’t get the ball to them, it doesn’t matter how bad they are. Weeden was overthrowing guys by miles, and again, HE HAD ALL DAY IN THE POCKET.
Cleveland has hidden potential. Amazing O-Line and I’d say an above average defense. If they actually had a not suck ass QB, I could definitely see things happen for them in the future. If I were them, sign McNabb or some shit…just see what happens. Weeden is nowhere near fucking ready for this level and Colt McCoy is still ass. If nothing else, bring Donovan in to teach Weeden that throwing to other defenses with all that time is a very bad thing. Or hell, make some trade with other teams for a decent QB. Look for some nice Backups with potential, I’m sure they have a better chance than Weeden.
why is weeden even starting? some of the starting job calls around the league had me scratching my head. like clevland and arizona, and seattle. but everyone keeps saying wilson has massive potential, so we shall see there. but i was surprised Flynn didnt win the job, maybe im just biased since he was in green bay. but whatever.
