weedin along with colt have the potiential to be great but weedin played in the big12 which if you know is a conference not knnown for big time defense so hes never been hit like this before.

Russel Wilson had like, ZERO help today. Protection broke down constantly, he still had some nice escapes. He won the game twice at the end but receivers dropped balls right out of their hands. Really bad game overall, but it wasn’t entirely his fault.
The only stretch of that entire game that resembled an NFL game was when Kolb came in, the irony! That one drive won the game. The ensuing drive was a train wreck of dropped passes, bad PI calls on the Cardinals, and other dumb shit.
Braylon Edwards decided to pull a Braylon Edwards at the worst possible times at the end of the game.
Out of curiosity, why do you hate Micheal Bush? Or is there another Micheal Bush that isn’t a running back for the Bears. He was a solid secondary RB for the Raiders that took over for Darren McFadden when his glass foot broke. Pretty much carried the Raiders last year.
I’m gonna echo my fellow Eagles fans in that last season we would’ve lost that game. It’s pretty much one of the few good points to take out it. Think about it - when was the last time this team had a real game winning drive like that? Last season, we would’ve folded when the momentum went their way in 3rd.
I’m not too worried about Vick - you gotta remember, he only had like 12 snaps in the preseason. I’m willing to buy that he was ultra rusty, though he can’t be that next week against Baltimore.
The real frustration comes from not helping Vick until the end of the 4th. At one point the Eagles had 40+ passing plays to 18 rushing plays. How is any QB expected to effective with that type of imbalance. In the past we could deal due to Westbrook essentially being an all-purpose back and screen passes filling in for traditional runs - but we’ve got one of the top RBs in the league and you don’t feed him until we get to the 6 min mark of the 4th? REALLY?
At the end of the day, we got the W which was really important - especially in a tough NFC East this year. It’s still possible for 3 playoff teams to come from our division, but w/ the North looking strong again, it’s not free.
The RG3 era begins on my team next week, goodbye vick, I assume he will then black out and have a great game and RG3 will blow, I DO NOT CARE VICK YOU HAVE HURT ME FOR THE LAST TIME
Well in Fantasy, starting Vick was just a moronic thing waiting to happen. Plus the Saints defense is definitely worse off than Cleveland’s. Hell Cleveland reminds me of Jim Johnson’s ole Philly D. Bend but don’t break, attempting to kill the QB. RGIII was definitely the right start.
As for me…I believe in Peyton, HE shall be the Manning to start. I’ll keep Eli in the back for a bit though before putting him on the block.

Damn Packers, losing at home was lame as shit. How in the blue monkey do you go for a bomb on 3rd and 1 when your down 7 to 16 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter? Shits so stupid, because had you gotten the 3rd down and kept that drive going and got the TD it would’ve been only 14-16 which would’ve been very managible, however instead you fail on your “risk” and end up allowing the 49ers to score putting you down even further.
Also it really pisses me off that McCarthy and co. are always going for the dagger kill, when what PUT is into the SuperBowl in 2010? Oh, that’s right, short effecient passes that not only ate up the clock but allowed us to steadily go in and and score with the occassional bomb once in awhile. THAT’S what made our offense super efficient and deadly. However every single passing play seems to have to be 15+ yards or else its not good.
What we did in our last scoring…that’s what makes us a Great Offensive Unit, not what we were trying to do the first 3 quarters. Shits a joke man, although our defense couldn’t stop the 49ers run game to save there life, there pass rush was significantly better. Matthews with 3 1/2 sacks and Woodson with a sack all for nothing in this loss.
We better step it up and without a doubt do the efficient west-coast style in which we would dominate at given our offensive weapons. Here’s to hoping we do better on Thursday. Bottom of the NFC after one game, so depressing. Great Job 49ers.
well yea, that works when you have a defense who can stop the other team. the year we went to the superbowl we had a top 5 defense. dinking and dunking doesnt really amount to much when the other team will light your defense up…also doesnt help we couldnt run the ball. good run defense or not, that running performance was pathetic.
With many of the problems related to the temporary referees, I don’t know why the NFL is not just giving them what they want.
What the referee union wants is pennies compared to what the NFL makes.
And what the referee union wants is a HUGE benefit for almost any referee’s retirement.
It the big corporation being too greedy.
Just get the regulars referees back on the field.

Packers morale has taken a good hit (losing they first game of the season at home), the only thing better would be for their rivals to claw their asses at home on Thursday. If Bears win Thursday, it will be a sign that they gonna be a force to be reckoned with and that Packers will fail this season.
