Maybe this will go opposite last year in that we looked good first game then had terrible 4th quarters, but now we look terrible first game and have clutch 4th quarters.

). Eagles always seem to play better against NFC East teams even when we play shitty (see: last year. 1 loss in NFC EAST despite terrible season).
so excited over this win for the niners. stupid espn analysts were all up on the packers nuts and totally overrating their offense and underplaying how crap their defense is. alex smith played decent but he missed a few reads where guys were either wide open or there were better options available but still a great start. the fact that they put together 5 consecutive scoring drives is very encouraging.
not just scoring drives, **TD **drives. last year it would have been 5 consecutive FGs and they would have lost.
Just got back to the Steelers game after some more bullshit Nvidia crashing issues. Just in time to see refs blow an obvious delay of game call.
yup and they were quality drives. they were able to score 30 points and the D only managed one turnover. that’s great sign for the offensive capabilities for this year

Alright…finally back.
Eagles make me rage so hard. Vick is freaking lucky he clutched it out that last drive (and he almost threw that one away as well). He only gets slight leniency from me due to that last drive…and the fact that a shit ton of other QB’s this week got pick happy as well. But if he sucks that hard next week, I’m officially joining the Church of Nick Foles and casting off the false idol of Vick.
Other notes…FUCKING DISCIPLINE. As bad as Vick was, a shit ton of holding calls kind of forced the issue. He threw the ball 56 times because every time we actually got momentum with the running game for 3 quarters, the shit was called back. No more fucking penalties.
Defense looked really solid. I don’t want to put too much stock into it, because Weeden was even more terrible than Vick and apparently only knows how to throw a slant pattern. However, ignoring the pass D, we definitely cleaned up on places we were really weak last year. Open field tackling, got every one other than one instance. Hustle plays, Demeco coming huge, DRC and Aso doing their things. And this was all without the pass rush really getting to Weeden all that much. I want to see how we do against Baltimore, but the D definitely stepped up and Castillo called a decent game.
But that’s the only tune up Philly. From here on out, it gets very damn hard. You got a week, especially you Vick. The NFC East are not rolling out the red carpet for us again. Giants are the Giants, Dallas looks solid, and RGIII is a scary talent. Let’s get this shit straightened out ASAP. But…at least you did the opposite of last year. I’d much rather suck early and finish late in games than vice versa.
