Oh, I was watching the press conference after day 1 of free agency where they interviewed Dale Tallon and Mike Santos just asking them about all the acquisitions and trades and what not. One of the questions was “Did you or are you looking at Brad Richards?”, he said “No, we needed a bunch of guys not just one guy.” Then he was asked “what about offer sheeting Stamkos?” and he said “No comment.”
I doubt we would do that, but I found it interesting. Plus I don’t know if 4 first rounders would be worth it, especially when they’re likely to be top 5.

Fuck. We lost Roman Hamrlik to the Craps. He’s an underrated defenceman, not that quick, but he always knows what to do and where to be. I’m confused that we picked up Peter Budaj. What’s the point? Alex Auld was not that great, but we just need a decent backup goalie, not a veteran one.

Now getting Heatley out of town to lose $2.5 mil cap space and getting Havlat who not only wants to be in the playoffs, has been a consistent playoff performer in the past. We need his speed more than Heatley’s Pilon, ‘I play like my groin is always pulled,’ style. This should also allow the Sharks to look ahead and re-sign Burns and Couture.
We keep getting these rough and tough guys, but how good is hitting gonna do when NOBODY PUTS THE PUCK IN THE NET?!?!?!? We still have the problem that most teams can just have their top players lock down ours, and then their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lines can easily handle ours.

Like he signs connelly, who while talented…i don’t think he’s ever finished a full season without getting concussion. and now he signs some other guy that was out all last year with one…and even said in his interview he’s “ALMOST” feeling normal again. like wtf.
