1.02 patch is up for PSN

Nah, how can I relax when i’m trying to get a decent online experience out of a game I paid for. I like this game as well, it’s not like one of those games where i’d say “The online is crap, oh well I don’t give a shit about that game anyway”

It won’t get derailed…I just hate seeing the same ignorance get spewed I have been trying for the past 2 years or so to disprove. Also yes it is ignorance!!!

This has nothing to do with what game is better, I just wanna make sure if someone is gonna say something they need to have their facts straight! Its the same thing like “Line Shifting ruins RBS.” I dont care if you like RBS or not, get your facts straight and stop spreading misinformation!

It’s not a matter of what is superior, it’s just pointing out ignorance. I love both KOFXII and KOFXI, if I see an opportunity to drop some knowledge on someone so they won’t spread an obviously Americentric POV, I will!

There is a rather significant difference between play styles in not only this KOF game, but in every KOF game released between all continents. In all honesty there is types and they differ almost immensely between continents. Even in KOF XII this is appearing. Most American people I’ve played stuck to Terry, Kyo and Joe or Andy as a variation. A lot of Mexican people I’ve seen play use a weird ass variation of Chin, Andy and whoever else. Same goes for past titles. I don’t what it is exactly, but a lot of Latino players either use pure grapplers, weird combos, or the confusion style of gameplay when playing KOF. At least from my experience.

It’s going to be interesting how KOF XII ends up after six months and the playstyles evolve.

Dude I’ve already redirected the KOFXI section to the KOFXI thread, so if this guy really wants to get educated about KOFXI Tiers he should just go post in that thread end of story I’ve made it easy for him.

Man, as much I am a fan of SNK. I am trading this piece of shit in. There is NO POINT of having this game if you don’t have anybody to play. After TWO PATCHES, the netplay is STILL garbage with lag spikes and HORRIBLE delay.

This game is like kof2k3 as it looked GOOD in previews and movies. Plays better than 2k3 but combo system and everything else is botched. Nothing here for the hardcore KOF fans either. Augh.

I heard about this. I believe that back in the day, they would brave these places called “arcades” a phelora of smoke, sleazy operators and people banging joysticks. I know this sounds like a crazy story, but my father swears that it’s true.

GGpo has always been great, but it had it’s share of bugs in the early stages just like any new system. They would add games and things would get a little bit crazy. They make a new version/patch and it was all good We also forget that hd remix came out a whole year and a half- damn near 2 years after it was announced to be released in the late 2006 4th qtr or 1st quarter of 2007! My how we forget.:rolleyes: They was testing that game for atleast 1 year past the original release date.

They said it wasn’t even ready to play at the original release date of 4th qt of 2006(around christmas) was what I saw for the 1st release date because I played a card game called epic battles made by udon. They said it would be coming out when a new pack was about to come out. Needess to say that card game went under and it took 2 more years to make hd remix. It was suppose to be out 1 1/2 years before sf4, but the delays had it only months before the arcade release of sf4. It seems like if it’s not capcom fucking up people are less to forgive other companies products.:annoy:

In no way am I comparing ggpo to the snkp netcode. That would be plain stupid. All i’m saying is from what the netcode was snkp did a better job than the 1st patch imo. I had almost no lag with a person in So cal!!! I’ve also had some laggy matches, but the samething happens on sf4, bb, hd remix and any other online gaming on a console. Some people have shitty connections. Not saying your shit is shitty, but some blame it on the netcode when they are running dialup.:looney::rolleyes:

the random glitches and what not in early ggpo and hdr are still better than what any other fighting game has released. Hdr beta with 2 characters is better than sf4 online, and from what i’m hearing it’s the same with kofxii. It’s time to stop supporting companies that release games with supbar netcode.

I’m not having nearly the problems others are reporting. I played online with a friend in Florida for 2 hours with voice chat on with no problems at all. I’m in Oklahoma City. We both have wired connections and have DMZed our PS3s. I also played in a room with 4-5 other players, no voice chat and there were a few very minor hiccups but overall the games were smooth. I’m having much better luck with KoFXII than SFIV or HDR. HDR blows up whenever I play in a multiplayer room and SFIV seems to lag a lot for me.

not sure about tonight, had some poorish games. One of them even froze mid move and did nothing for the rest of the match apart from jerk!

Trying to gather a friendslist of the UK \ Euro peeps so i can get some yellow connections hah

At least 1 won one match tonight (2 if you count the lag guy LOL)
