No, you weren’t even on my day 1 list.
I said something about you night 2 or night 1, IIRC, but you managed to escape slightly from my suspicion by reacting properly and very civ-like. It wasn’t until recently that you popped back up on my list.

Irregardless, your main reason for listing me was past-game performance. It was also the same reason that OZ wasn’t condemned for his useless behaviour. It was constantly getting posted in the thread that he is always like that, we don’t need to look into his actions at all. That’s crap.
Whatever, I’ve said my feelings and I just want this game to end. Once you see the PM you’ll see a bunch of decisions that saw us getting screwed over that the civs never even knew were happening.
And whether you like it or not, there should be a certain weight based on how you played a past game. Else NoodleHead and others wouldn’t have a notebook of players’ tendencies.
Look, real talk, I spent 4 years of my life playing poker. Online, multitabling, so all told, I’ve probably seen 100,000 hands at the minimum in the game. I don’t have my databases anymore to prove that, but I can tell I saw a ton of hands.
One thing I learned in 4 years is people have habits and tendencies. And ignoring them because it’s a new hand or a new tournament would be robbing yourself of potential profit from that information, which is pertinent.
Yes, players can play differently. Yes people can change it up. BUT, there can still be underlying tendencies that you can find if you’re vigilant enough. Why do you think I brag that I can read kaz by day 2 every time I play with him, and be right? I kept bringing up that kaz was mafia in the PW game and getting laughed at, and I was right.
Shit, SWBeta, whom everyone regards here as a good player, literally told me in the All Star game, to go in on him with past game history, to try to get him lynched and give me cover.
I knew it because I could spot his tendencies over three games (at the time). So yes, there is a weight to it. Don’t like it? Find your tendencies and work to correct them? Trying to say I, or another person, isn’t playing this game because they’re using past tendencies to spot things that don’t add up to them, is just crazy.
I don’t mean to belittle but it just isn’t right. Fair enough it helps you get a read but then what? If you know someone well enough to get a read on them, then that’s your prerogative. But if you post that suspicion in the thread, then it should be up to other players to come to their own conclusions. Not just jump onboard someones reads. That’s the lazy behaviour that I was talking about.
Seriously, there was very little in-thread evidence of mafia activity. No-one posted any lists (cough), posted information they shouldn’t know etc. It came down to: broken tech, a few unforeseen plays and a whole lot of people just blindly following one or two people.
Real talk: What did half of the people here in the final however many we are really contribute? People that are active are seen as threats and eliminated. Yet wallflowers just coast on by, not contributing anything but yet still making it further in the game then some really solid players.
Sorry if it comes across as bitchy but I haven’t been able to speak my mind all game and it’s been killing me.
Well done to some civs on excellent plays but by and large this was a game dominated by laziness and exploits.
Day 7: Clearly Bluffing
http://images.wikia.com/danganronpa/images/c/cb/5(190).png
“…All the cards were on the table. I was bluffing. The drug dealer, not having any money left, did not have the resources to keep the police at bay. The Police Department, acknowledging my great deed, decided to give me the honorary title of “Detective.” And I have never looked back on my gambling ways again.”
“That was… inspiring. Now I know… we all have the potential to be heroes in our daily life!”
Kirigiri stared at Synonym in disbelief. “That’s not how law enforcement works at all. Did you do any research on the police? Even if you got that part right, you contradicted yourself about 30 times over. A poker face gets you nowhere if your statements contain blatant lies.”
http://images.wikia.com/danganronpa/images/6/6f/5(196).png
“She’s lying! Lynch her! On the first night, I saw her kill Bious!”
Kuwata shrugged. “If the crazy goth chick thinks Kirigiri is dirty, it’s good enough for me.”
“OBJECTION!” Kirigiri yelled as if she’s never yelled before (I actually don’t think she has). “If you all recall, on the first night I was masturbating to pictures of my sister in the middle of the gymnasium, being too lazy to actually do any investigative work. You all saw me, correct?”
Everybody slowly nodded. They didn’t want to admit it, but it was true.
http://images.wikia.com/danganronpa/images/6/6f/5(199).png
“Kirigiri…”
“We’re putting our votes in for you, Synonym. At least you played better than the other guy.”
http://images.wikia.com/danganronpa/images/1/16/5(198).png
“I always thought other peoples’ stupidity would be the end of me…”
“Cinnamon, you’re having a heart attack!” Monokuma yelled.
Synonym died.
“Don’t believe everything you hear kids. Placebo effect.”
”God damn it, ‘Placebo’ wasn’t my word of the day! All that vocabulary for nothing!”

Okay, so the Suffering continues.
Oz, consider investigating Lurker.
If he turns up clean, then I’ll probably be voting ForgeDigger.
I’m feeling lucky, if all three of my reads are correct, then I’ll gladly take it.
He’s the last one left from those that I felt are mafia.
That list of mine was before Day 4, so there’s that. It might be severely outdated now.
I have a feeling that it was mafia strategy that Lurker didn’t use his RoleBlock ability so that he’ll be exonerated late game.
Synonym’s surrender was all too convenient, I feel.
I was waiting for his rebuttal that Bious could have been diverting the attention of the mafia to the wallflowers by revealing our detective did not investigate.
I just didn’t expect that he would go out like Pietastic.
That said, getting another confirmed civilian is, more or less to an effect, the same as getting a guilty result now, in my opinion.
PS: Thanks for the break, Lurker. My apologies for still suspecting you. Think of my suggestion as trying to clear you from suspicions.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!
This is the Neverending Mafia Game.
IL, Forge, Augustus, and HAX - One of them’s mafia.
I’m thinking Augustus.
Forge needs to be investigated.
Lynch order will go like this:
If ForgeDigger is innocent:
Augustus
infrequent lurker
WTF-AKUMA-HAX
And that should be game.
Augustus claims to be Gundam.
No one is contesting him yet, it seems.
If he’s not the real one, then whoever Gundam is, now is the time to counter-claim.
You know…HAX keeps claiming Programmer, and Programmer did end the phase with a mafia kill only…so…
Yes, that can’t be overlooked now.
We’ve been setting it aside for a while since he the way he role-claimed that role is quite bold for a mafia.
Any of the unconfirmed now will do us well, though.
In order of what I feel are priorities by roles:
Programmer(WAH)
Swimmer(Forge)
All-Star(Lurker)
Dark Lord(Augustus)
I say we trust my reads right now.
I don’t think HAX is mafia, but we may have to revisit it.
Investigate IL or Forge.
If that one turns up clean, lynch the other.
@orochizoolander, you have one last investigation, DO NOT MISS THE WINDOW OR YOUR LG.
This X 1000
Synonym, if OZ’s posts in the next game made complete sense and were very logical and thought-out, something’d be up. When someone plays in a Mafia game that person sets a precedent for their behavior. It’s very difficult, if even possible, to not factor that into your decisions in the game. After the game when everyone finds out who was who then the other players make the connection “This person did X and was Mafia. If I see X again in a future game I should be suspicious of him” (replace X with a tell of your choosing).
That’s one of the reasons why I play very differently every game, to try to shroud my “Mafia” and “Civilian” tells. However, eventually the other players are going to pick up on those tells and be able to identify my allegiance and possibly role from them. At that point you can use those tells to your advantage. Purposefully posting very little and acting shady when you’re a Nekomaru role, for instance, might lead the Mafia to kill you night one, which is the best case scenario. From that you now have solid information in knowing that at least one of the Mafia was aware enough to pick up on your changed behavior. Past game behavior and actions are just another aspect of the mindgames in Mafia.
To be honest you weren’t lynched because of your reputation, you were lynched because of a contradiction in your statements. Pie revealed himself as Mafia halfway through the Day Phase. Chief acted differently than he does when he’s Civilian and Azure picked up on it and offed him at night.
(Also thanks for not putting me in the “useless” category. I may have screwed up pretty badly but I contributed and tried to help)
Guys, mafia can still beat us. Fuck fuck fuck if we lose this after all of this I’mma be hella salty.
I’m going to come up with a battleplan tomorrow.
I need to sleep, but once I can peruse the thread over, I think I may be able to uncover some things on every surviving, unconfirmed civ.
Last time I looked at every possible off player, I got the right one lynched. Let’s see if I can pull some magic out of my hat again.
@orochizoolander You know what, Random.org.
Throw all 4 names in a list, shuffle it, whoever winds up on top, investigate them.
That’s HAX, Forge, IL, and Augustus.
For some reason my guts going nuts over HAX all of a sudden.
