ZD Arcade Control Encoder And ZD ReMatch (PS3/PS2/PC) (The most cost efficient PCBs to date!)

Make sure both ends of the controller cable is completely secure.
it could be the cable or board is out of spec for the PS2.

This is also the kind of thing I would warn people who wants to get a ZD board.

If those suggestions don’t work, tell the seller you want a replacement.

Also, which model ps2 do you have? Have you tried it with more than one game? You shouldn’t be having this problem regardless, but I’d like to see if I can replicate it with mine.

I’ve haven’t actually even tried anything in game yet. I’ve just been dicking around on the main menu. It honestly isn’t a huge deal to me because I really just wanted to be able to use my stuff on the dreamcast for those naomi arcade games and for whatever reason that is working here. It is just so strange that the only thing that dongle doesn’t work for is the system it is designed for. I’m tempted to go get an extension cord for ps2 controllers and try it out.

As far as the system I’m using I have an early fat ps2.

Do you have the mode button connected? It has been a while since I looked at the instructions, but I’m thinking it needs to be connected for proper ps2 function. I have it connected on mine.

I have def tried it with the mode button. But I can’t remember if I had the mode button plugged in already or not so I will give it a shot. Luckily I don’t plan on taking my desk stick to tournaments anytime soon. I made my arcade stick out of an old school desk and I’d just been using it for street fighter on pc and emulators. I decided I wanted to start playing more games on a crt. Ended up going a month without my arcade stick because of a failed soldering project. Was wanting tha chutulu board but it wasn’t being sold anymore so I settled on this.

I will def do some more troubleshooting.

umm…this thing probably does work for xbox360. it looks different than the picture on his ebay auction and there is a pinout/socket labeled xbox360/pc. if I hook up the usb wire to my computer while holding down that xbox360 button the thing registers as an xbox 360 controller on the computer. I dont have an xbox to test but looks like it does work. great deal for $20 either way.

No, it doesn’t. The Xbox 360 mode is only available when you use it with a computer.

I would not even call it a Xbox 360 mode as its not actually Xbox 360 compatible.

The Xbox 360 part of that eBay page is extremely misleading and completely wrong, and by eBay own rules they need to change it pronto.
What they should of said is Xinput compatible (as it acts like a Xbox 360 controller in Microsoft Windows).

There is no Zero Delay pcb that I know of compatible with Xbox 360.

They just display as 360 on a PC, this is a MASSIVE difference.

I agree that this is very poorly labeled, but adding xinput mode to the ps2/ps3/pc version is pretty nice regardless.

It could just be poor translations on part of the board makers but the Seller is a US seller.

Yeah its nice that the board has Xinput, I am thinking more that the “Mom and Pop” sellers (thats what they claim anyways) have no idea what they are actually selling.

why is xinput better than the ps3/pc mode lol?

Some games require xinput. You can get around that problem with a wrapper program, but it’s nice to have native xinput.

It isn’t.

Xinput is a API software layer to interface a controller with a game.
The older and more common controller API is Dinput (which PS3 controllers support).

It is just some games like Street Fighter V for the longest time only supports Xinput.

Hori now includes a PC (Xinput) mode in their PS3/PS4 controllers.

I bought the blue colored ps3/ps2/pc zero delay along with the Y cable specifically for PS2 use.

So far I haven’t been able to get it to work at all. The lights on the board don’t come on at all. They did for a split second when originally plugged into the PS2 and haven’t since. At not point was my stick recognized whatsoever by my PS2.

I’ve tried varying combinations on the board as far as plugging stuff in and will take a pic if that would help someone help me. I’d really like to get this working.

Plugged into the board right now I have my joystick, circle/triangle/square/cross, L1/L2/R1/R2, and the mode button. I only have 9 buttons on my stick. I don’t have the usb connector plugged into the board.

Would really appreciate help! Thanks in advance!

Try connecting it to a PC, see if it works there. A picture might help as well.

Unfortunately I only have access to macs right now and therefore can’t check.

I took a couple pictures of the board from different angles in case that helps.

There are multiple USB gamepad/controller testing applications available for MacOS. Google is thy friend.

The mac I have unfortunately only has a USB C port and I don’t have a converter. I should have access to a PC sometime tomorrow so I’ll try and test it then.

Is there any of these floating around that will do the Legacy support option on ps4 tekken or PC games??
