ZD Arcade Control Encoder And ZD ReMatch (PS3/PS2/PC) (The most cost efficient PCBs to date!)

Ah, sounds like it’s fucked then. Contacting the seller about a replacement is your best bet.

Oh wait a minute I see what you’re saying. I misread that. I thought you were talking about plugging both the ps3 and ps2 harness to the board at the same time was a bad thing and not to do it.

Alright well I plugged em both up and its working now.

I was saying it was a bad thing and not to do it, but if that’s what’s working, then do it.
Given that this is the case for two people here now,I wonder if there’s an issue with newer production runs that make it necessary.

A lot of these are running at 30% off on eBay right now. Anyone who is looking to pick one up on the cheap should get in soon. I believe the sale is ending in around 2 days.

I’ll pass.

Got my replacement PCB from eBayer laptop_powers, and everything works perfectly again.

Gotta give props to the seller too; I fucked up by not insuring my package & it got lost in the post.
They sent me a replacement anyway.

Does anybody know if there is a EU seller? As the customs charges here in EU is just silly.
Also the Rematch version is that still available, I haven’t been able to find it anywhere - is it better than the standard version?

Most come from of the ZD PCBs are shipped from China, you end up paying for import tax one way or another.

Hey y’all, so I am very excited because my board has arrived and I have now mounted it inside my stick, and have finally got everything ready to go. Unfortunately I am unable to find a map of which plugs go to which PS3 controller buttons, save for home (“mode”), start, and select. [details=Spoiler]

This is the image on the ebay page from which I purchased the encoder, and it just says to use sections 2 5 and 8 for buttons, but they are not labeled anything that makes sense to me. I understand this will not be an issue on PC because I can just map the buttons in USFIV but I do not yet have P4AU for the PS3 so I want the buttons to be working properly for when I do. Until then, trial and error it is!

EDIT: NVM camacho gave me a hand in the absolute q and a thread!

So finally got my ZD in the mail yesterday, but for some reason I can only get 2 directions to work on my sanwa joysticks - anybody else who have tried that or have a solution? Or do I have a faulty board?

Try flipping the 5-pin connector?

Tried it, then I only have 1 direction working. I have also tried to switch out the default cable with the one from the TE Stick - still the same :frowning:

Do you have the mode button connected?

No I haven’t had any button connected to the “mode” on the board - is that important?
Don’t know if this is useful information:
I just tested K1-K4, L1, L2, R1, R2, ST, SE and they all seems to work fine.
Haven’t tried K11, K12, Mode, Auto, CLR or Turbo.

Yeah, you need to have the mode button connected for ps3/ps2. You don’t need turbo/auto/CLR connected. Take some pictures of your wiring if that doesn’t work.

I’m not connecting this to a Playstation, just a PC. But I will try and connect the mode button and see if it has a positive effect

It worked, don’t know why or how but switching between the modes did something

mode is for switching between d-pad and left stick

I’m confused by this Home button stuff. I have a ZD original and am thinking of upgrading to the ZD Rematch for the home button and for PS2/PS1 functionality.

Which function/button on the ZDRm is the Home button? If it’s the Mode button, how does it distinguish whether i want the Mode or Home function with any given press? I ask because on PS3 the mode button on the original ZD switches between D-pad (red LED) and Stick (green LED, whether or not it’s really analog). On default connection to PS3 the Stick option is set (green LED), and TTT2 uses D-pad only for move inputs. If the Home function on the ZDRm is also the Mode button, and each press does both, I’m not going to be able to switch inputs properly…?

When I tested the ZD Rematch with my PS3 the Mode button works like Home and d-pad was the default input.

Mode button is for switching from d-pad to left stick only when is plugged to a pc.
