Man, sabre, I read and followed the instruction on your guide a few pages back on how to configure your router, set the static ip, etc…
And after I do everything I lost the internet connection. I turn off my computer, unplug my cable modem and the router, then restart. In my linksys menu(the one you access thru your browser) It stated that my computer’s ip was 192.168.1.100, but when i go to control panel and networking, it says the Ip was 192.168.1.2
And also do I need to set it on static Ip in the linksys menu as well? since that wasn’t covered in your guide.
and ALSO, lol, in the linksys menu, it gave me a different default gateway, its not 192.168.1.1, should i use the 192 or the one that was given to me in the status window.
But man I’ve been trying all night yesterday, and all morning today. I just go this router.

Dial Up
Is it worth playing this game on Dial up.
I’ve been playing the Streetfighter online game. Which okay. Though its hard to tell if the fighting engine is all that faithful because I’m playing on dial which is a Huge handicap.
Is it worth downloading all this stuff if I’ve only got a dial up 56K modem. Just to play with a controller. And play old school SF?

Any Super Mario Kart players here? Read the whole thread, but didn’t see many peeps who would be up for some matches from here. I’m not good enough yet to throw down with some of SFers here, so I just play SMK, heh. If anyone up for some SMK games, PMed or post here.
Also if you’re online, look out for a guy named “POLO”, he’s a Japanese player that is insane in the game.
yeah dude its cool, discuss whatever game in here related to zbattle. just trying to increase the scene. I’m trying to get more players to get on to play more KI myself. I’ve met a few good players so far, hope to meet more. Starting to get back on par in the game 
so if anyone wants the toughest comp in that game around, come holla at me…

im down to play smk. i play sometimes. im not too great tho. Never really played anything beyond mushroom cup and battle mode heh. but im down for anything. i should learn bowzer and dk so i can actually compete well in races. they are too good

SaBrE: It’s all about Koopa Troopa (or Toad if he is already selected, lol).
gen: its pretty much established that bowzer and dk own the game. but they take lots of skill, since they accelerate really slow

can you take a look at what I’ve posted and offer me some way to solve the problem?
Because port magic is about to run out of the 17days trial period.
I still have to end up downloading something when I enter a room. I have about 800+ roms, all of the USA roms, yet I still get a download going, even for games I had to DL before. What gives? Its getting anoying.
I think the system just tries to detect the same file names and go from there. If your rom doesn’t match the same name as the rom of the host, then you have to download their rom.

I play that game mostly since its the only zbattle exclusive that I know of…
I’ll play some SSF2 and SF2T on occasions but if I’m on zbattle it’ll be gundam

it has nothing to do with having the same filenames. thats the beauty of zbattle. all it does is match the crc and such. it doesnt look at filename. but for a lot of games, there are various versions. like for killer instinct, theres 2 us versions, 1.0 and 1.1, then you have the euro version, the beta version and such. i wouldnt recommend using the dl option cuz the dl connection will time out immediately if the speed lags for like 2 seconds, and your rom will also dissappear. not worth it…
dreaded fist: if you got a linksys router, those instructions i had posted should work perfectly. i gave the instructions about in depth as possible. just no screen shots. if my instructions are failing for you, i dunno what the problem is cuz im not missing any steps in my direction. unless, your isp doesnt like all those changes. who knows
Why do I get lag while playing through zbattle, but when I play with connected IP’s, it works fine. What gives?
cuz you could be playing someone with 56k, or hes really far, or you didnt set the latency to 1, which is the best option for 2 people on good connections.
Eckostyle/SaBrE/anyone else: I’ll be on for a while all day, look for for [SRK]Super Mario Kart- Match Races/Battle Mode, if all that fits, lol.
SaBrE, ya I know Bowser and DK are “supposed” to be the best, but I feel more comfortable with Koopa Troopa. Him and toad has great handles and a good balance of accel/speed to match anyone.
I was on today. Me and Gen2000 had at it a couple of times in SMK. Even though he beat me like 8 times in a row, I still had fun(That race on Mario Circuit 2 was damn close and fun). Now I have to practice hard, so I can “reclaim” the skills I had in the XBAND days.
And props to Dreaded Fist for showing me what was wrong with ZBattle. You saved me a bunch o’ downloads.
