@TheSupaSage I’m not sure I have anything to really add on the FANG fights. Everything I thought to tell you to do, it seemed like you figured out towards the end anyway. Though I suppose they might be worth discussing anyway.
So here’s the thing with FANG: at footsie range I feel like if he’s still tossing poison balls, that’s your cue to just dash up and throw him whenever you feel like it. Other characters might worry about the balls falling on their head if they try to start some offense, but they don’t matter once a throw animation gets going, heh. At longer ranges, make sure you’re moving forward. You’d block or vskill a lot of the balls and then just kinda sit there. Walk or dash forward.
Which brings me to the other thing about FANG, especially online. I know they love to randomly do that dash punch at mid range, which might have been a part of your hesitation. You need to be wary of it, but its definitely something you can alleviate by just v skilling randomly. If he hits your armor, he’s yours. Just be sure not try v skilling in that situation if balls are also falling in your head. At that point, if you can’t get out from under the balls, just block, and keep an eye out for his command dash.
As for the birdie fight, you seemed to handle yourself pretty darn well there, so my only big thing is to suggest watching out for his leaping grab a bit more actively. The non-ex version is totally reactable with a jump, especially if you keep it in the back of your mind all the time. Heck even the EX version is reactable if you’re really on point, though I could forgive you for getting hit by it.
You did this a couple times so you’re probably aware, but the chain is actually armorable, despite seeming like a hit-grab that would beat armor, so some random v skills at mid range is kinda warranted against birdie too. V skilling it gives you ample time to move in on him.
Something else that’s armorable is the banana peel and the soda can. Good way to move through them without having to jump or block. Granted I’m sure he can blow that up if he expects it, but as a gief player you should already be familiar with keeping things random and fresh and using moves and approaches sparingly. Just mix it in, I guess.
Also oh boy that salty ragequit, lol.
