You don’t have to do a full 720 motion, 540 is enough. Doing it from a neutral standing position is hard though. I like to buffer it into knee hammer, after st. short or after a jump in. When I land a CC I sometimes buffer it into a forward dash.
Something that works very well is to use V-skill to absorb their jump attack and catch them with the CA as soon as they land.

Yes, you can cancel headbutt into CA, but not the regular st. fierce (the wind up punch).

I went back to USFIV and realized that I hated SFV even more than I thought I already did. I haven’t touched the game in a while and I don’t plan on playing it again unless some drastic changes are implemented.
Standing HP and Standing HK was changed from +1 on hit, to +2 on hit
This allows you to link the CA if your in range.
*CA only combos in 2 frames (but grabs in 1 frame)
This change was to compensate for the limited confirm ability of the CA,
when compared to other characters who can confirm from the 3 point line (or from way down town)
