Played Injustice 2. Didn’t like it, but still liked it better than SFV. Then I punched myself in the kidneys. Didn’t like it, but still liked it better than SFV.
Haven’t touched this game in a couple weeks so played a quick session of ranked today. Lost over and over again for about 20 minutes and was quickly reminded of how shitty this game is. Losing to teleporting scrubs from Mexico is so much fun Capcom thx for this great netcode and great game. All I know is a Mexican flag equals unplayable bullshit 9/10 times guaranteed. I don’t even care if they’re from there or not. When you see that flag it’s not even worth playing the match imo.
Rashids st.short somehow cleanly beats a cross up splash. So he lifts his knee up to his waist and that miraculously stuffs a splash above his head. Yup, great game.
If T.Hawke wasn’t Mexican, I’m sure he’d be offended and somewhat dissapointed with his ping/bandwidth. ~Hechno en Mexico. Viva!
Yes…yes it would but in its current state its still a shit option.
This is actually my biggest gripe in the game. The visuals of 399 pounds of Gief body splashing down on an opponent being swatted away by a 3 frame jab (or st.short with Rashid) is absurd. It is because air hurtboxes are so huge, and standing jabs have hitboxes that protect their hurtboxes and will literally never lose to body splash. The most infuriating part is that if you use body splash as a cross up after knockdown the opponent can literally mash jab (since jab auto corrects for some reason), beat the body splash, and get a mixup from it. Here are the visuals, and why body splash has some of the worst hitboxes in the game.
Check out this gallery. If the opponent uses light AAs, you can’t use heavy attacks. You need to use jumping lk or jumping jab. They usually trade with or beat light AAs and can tick to spd.
Yeah I’ve never understood that either. They have a priority system on the ground I’m surprised they just did not extend it to the air. Am I wrong or would that fix the whole issue?
The thing is they don’t wanna fix it. So many things in this game don’t make sense but that’s because it was made for scrubs. I think they basically wanted to make as many one button aa’s as they could so noobs and bad players could just do them without thinking. I’m honestly surprised that sweeps don’t aa in this game. I also find it funny that Giefs st.jab gets blown up by crossups. Why cant he just automatically turn around and auto correct like everyone elses?
It might have to do with his wide hurtbox. It takes jumping players longer to cross up so Gief turns around later, giving you a smaller window to jab before it gets stuffed. Since his hurtbox is also taller than most, it gives you even less time.
Either that or why are normals auto correcting in that manner? I’ve played a lot of SF in my days and never recall jabs used as anti airs that auto correct. I play Remy in 3s and use his jab to AA as parry bait (do st.jab, (parry), st.jab, (parry), st.lk). If I tried to jab a cross up attempt in that game? lol. My jab would whiff and I’d get blown up. Maybe Capcom thought blocking crossups would be too hard and created an alternative, because mashing st.jab wins.
Itabashi lost to two no names at Combo Breaker and didn’t even make it out of pools. This game is a joke lol.
Lol damn, I didn’t even know he was there.
I think it was to a Kolin and a Rashid but not 100% sure. What do I know, he’s top tier obviously.
Careful guys, we’re downplaying again. Zangief is quadruple S tier, period.
Snake got to grand finals. Super tier.
Lmao it was actually my friend that eliminated Itazan. It was with Balrog
Here come the inevitable idiots. Gief is op, top tier, Gief beats Guile, yada, yada. Good stuff to Snake though.
It’s pretty established at this point. He’s mid tier
If he’s midtier then why all the whining?
That shits for low tiers. Unless y’all expected THE traditional command grab character to be top tier…
At which point you really don’t know your history. Gief is the character you pick when you want to turn your brain off but still enjoy a challenge, a challenge that if you guess correctly 2-3 times you can viably win versus anyone.
He’s a polarising character and always will be. If you decided to main him then you should have known this and been prepared for the type of gameplay that he tends to revolve around.
Play ST gief before you wanna whine. Playing against guile you’re lucky if you get even one solid chance a round to win.
I would definitely agree with you there, IF IT WERE the 1990’s.
But in the future, they miraculously discovered a concept called “balance.”
Still, I think Sonic Slut is way too strong in this version of the game, compared to the more honest zoners.
