Hey, someone was telling me that the TS6 MvC2 DVD only has top 8 and some pool footage. Does that mean that top 16 can be posted?

^-- I should figure this out by the end of the week. I’m not sure what the hell I lost yet - about 2 terabytes of data appears to be ‘at risk’. I have definitely lost all my raw captured footage, but since I’d released all that, I have the released copies backed up elsewhere. (And I’m hoping to hell that that disk survives this mostly unscathed.) Mostly it appears that I’ve lost my raw captures (no big loss), 2/3 of my personal photos (family, friends, etc), and … we’ll see what wasn’t backed up. Yuk, awfulness. Once I sort that out and have disks that spin forward and keep data upon them (a surprising concept!), I’ll to get to encoding the 24 hours of videos I have queued up now. :sad:

^-- Fuck cron. I do a dedicated back-ups to other hard drives that I keep at a different physical location. In theory, that’s “good shit”. It’s been a cascading series of hard drive failures: the new 750GB drive repartitioned itself(?!? apparent bug in the XP Gold RTM CD - later I tried it with the XPSP2 RTM CD and that worked fine), 2 250GB drives will hang forever if you let 'em chkdisk, installing the 200GB drive will render the 300GB drive unusable, the other 200GB drive is getting dodgy, and that’s about it.
Aaaaaaanyways, I’m back up and running on the brand new hard drive that’s working great. My tools, website, and media (music + Marvel/gaming videos) backups all made it. I lost 1/3 of my personal photos and the raw footage that I’ve used to cut the footage I’ve put out from. Only losing the photos sucks, of course.
So, on the news front:
- I got the new Texas Showdown 6 DVDs - I’ll be putting up the non-DVD footage by next Friday.
- I’ll start capturing the 24 hours of footage back-up Monday. (That includes more ECCXI footage.) This will likely take a while, but there’s some strange non-Marvel gems here.
Is the footage from JasonX somewhere in that footage yet to be captured? 
No, I do not have any footage from JasonX and do not believe he has my address. You would want to ask Jason about what’s happening with that footage. I’ve never received footage from him before, so if you actually want that footage, I would strongly suggest you ride him until he ships that. I’m focused on shipping Vista/WMP11 so haven’t been thinking much about that.
As an FYI, I don’t have the Final 16 (as opposed to Final 8) for TS6 around at this point - I’ll check around further. I got my tapes back from Leigh, so if it’s on there, that’s good, if it’s on my back-up drives, that’s good, otherwise I may need to see if I can undelete whereever the hell those videos ended up at.
Do you by chance have any OLD Clockw0rk videos, back when he was playing as Omega Red?

OK, I have captured 60GB or so of raw footage that I’ll be encoding. I will need buyoff from MikeZ and Dave Spence (dublo7) to release some of it - I’ll hold that back. I was hoping to release an hour or so of footage today, but didn’t have a viable MPEG2 decoder to work on the captured footage with.
I definitely got the Final 16 footage back from Leigh - I will likely recapture that this weekend so that I can reencode it.
The ECCXI Marvel footage from Bernie is actually really hot - I haven’t rewatched too much of the footage I already put up, and I have no idea who I was watching (I was across the room doing other stuff), but GODDAMN Bernie got some great matches. “Hold him back!” Wow. <<33 Bernie.
I will try to encode some tomorrow and get that out, but the smallest encoded ‘chunk’ is 20GB, so ferrying that to another computer to encode with is a hassle. But I love you so hopefully I can make that happen.
So: expect at least three hours of updates by next Friday (10th). Pretty much everything should be non-Marvel, too, for all you who think I’m too Marvel-centric. Sorry about the delays in updates.
Update: MikeZ has bought off, and humorously enough didn’t have this footage anymore himself. :tup:

Minor surprise is up now. Huge (1hr, 600MB). Not the world’s greatest quality - I may recapture from my VHS source on this one (and I’ll check the original quality to verify where the quality loss occured), but this is a starting point and gives people a chance for feedback.
