I’ve also got my Evo2k5 non-DVD(?) footage on standby, but I need to know what’s on the DVD before I put that up. :sad: Given that the DVD appears to be an hour long, it appears quite strongly that only the Final 8 are on the DVD and that it’s cool to share all that footage. We’ll see - obviously this should be resolved by next week when the DVD finishes downloading.
Rotendo and I will sync up about the Evo West footage when we get a chance - we’ve both been mad busy.
EDIT: Oh yeah - the Texas Showdown DVDs apparently are done - I should be getting a trailer for them shortly. :tup:

Hey guys, i’ve also seen that Brazilian video, and it’s really bad. BUT, those are Rio de Janeiro’s players. In other words, they fortunatelly don’t symbolize our entire country (thank god). As you can see, i’m a Brazilian player, from So Paulo, and believe me, here the skill level is much higher than those “Madureira” bastards. Actually the best Brazilian players are from So Paulo. The level is also higher on other regions such as Paran.
Sadly, it’s a shame for us, brazilian GOOD players (i’m not so good in fact, but absolutelly better than those guys on the video) to present to you such a bad video. My team and I (“So Paulo Team”, by the way) will do some effort to present better matches in a near future. And as soon as we can we’ll beat down those guys. Thanks

The videos upload by Preppy was from a like 4-6months ago footage on Rio de Janeiro, where players are learning to play the game, we watch videos, champs, etc, and try to improve our skills… ya the video its so loooow tier hehehe on the you tube ones that were made like 3-4weeks ago you guys can see a big improvement, still not so big… so watch up, make comments, etc… help us improving our level and so on. The Sao Paulo players are good ones, still we dont have any new footage of then, so I decided to post up for preppy those matchs to see if any action will made then change their minds and start to make a little more vids etc…
Hope this solve this misunderstood and try to clean up the brazilian players image :X

I’m sorry in the name of all brazilian people that someone made you watch that crap…
The only good one is the video posted by Kinder (Nil vs Gabriel), with more precision, infinites, guard cancels, midscreen unblockables and some fast fly and unfly stuff. This is how the brazilian videos should look like.
They make several mistakes, but by the sound I guess there is some kind of money match going on, so the pressure is there. Those are good players IMO, and Preppy should get more footage from Kinder, and flush anything else from Brazil out of the site.
The ones on Preppy’s are the worst videos ever. It seems like you have 10 year olds learning how to play. I’ve seen videos from US, Japan, Hong Kong, Mexico and Canada, and those were the worst by very, very much, almost on par with those crappy french ones that were around the net a while ago.
And the “new” videos posted by Kamia look as crappy as the first ones. Please don’t send any more stuff to Preppy… You guys should all be busy with girls and beaches anyway.
The one from vkuwabara is also poor, but at least they have a clue (not much).
I like to see foreign footage, but only when its not crap. So please get away with all the crap.
On a side note, crappy US players lilke sainthuey and grimm_demize should not be making fun of crappy brazilian players. Crappy players should all be good friends.

Yeah, I have some of those old school vids backed up on disc and perhaps a few on my [Video Game Media] hd. Been almost a year since I said this, but I seriously need to organize my videos on that drive.
Preppy: I zipped the Evo West folder, which should make uploading them to you a lot easier and perhaps ‘fixing’ that one vid you couldn’t get working. I tried sending again, but it wouldn’t send while you’re away. Anyway, I’ll have AIM up until you get everything you need. I’ll be at work, but can check SRK if you run into any more problems or have questions. Until then, I don’t want to go on Direct Connect ++ yet because I’m already up/dl the evo2k5 marvel dvd.
JohnnyEight, Nil vs Gabriel was a tournament match (quarter finals I think) it’s a 6 month old video and our top players already got slightly better than that.
In 2004, Chaoticman (our top player) went to USA to work/study and got to play with Commy (which has gotten to top 8 on evo that year) and managed to win most of the matches (they played for hours and I have the vids, unfortunatelly too low quality to upload…)
Well, I hope all of you understand that this video posted on zachd isn’t anywhere close to our playing level.
Now I’ll try to make some better vids and send for you to watch, I’m sure we can put on something really enjoyable for everyone…
