Also, the sickest BH I seen was in some random jap vids. I can’t read nor remember the site (got linked by friend a while ago), best bet is to ask Joo because he keeps track of stuff like that or at least used to to the best of my knowledge.

I’ve seen some Jap Blackhearts do some weird pseudo-ROM combos (not inf) using J.LK.

Are you talking about that old video with normal jump infinite into capture type Ruby or Thanos into demon infinite? Yea, not to ride that whole jap wagon, but they’re sick at fighting games. Their guard cancel combos are still ages ahead of us, too bad no one records the videos though. The closest we get is Joo and although at actual play he’s not that godlike his knowledge is llike the Marvel Bible and I still don’t know whether he publicly released his godlike DVD he was working on. I wish he would release it.

I remember these videos they were gdlk. They also used ironman with that ruby capture assist.

Japan has some players with the oddball characters-- I steal low tier shit from JP all day, but there’s no need to jock-ride em in this game. USA is king of the monsters. Still I bet a lot of Creatures would come out of the woodwork for a Marvel World Cup.

Yep, the also used Evil Sakura quite a bit too. I love the Japaneses’ quirky playstyle and inventive (but not as practical) gimmicks.

If someone can figure out the whole dizzy scenario I predict ironman will be the best in the game.

Isnt there a way to make your opponent not dizzy by a certain assist setup? If someone can figure this out, I just broke marvel.

It’s a consistent point system, there were talks on the EC several years ago about setting up a dizzy but right now the thing is why set it up? If you dizzy your opponent, that means you were doing hits on them (at least 40), if you were doing hits on them then you can either dhc kill or reset kill more consistenty. I don’t remember the system exactly but air attacks count as 1 (the least) point and launchers were a lot (which is why use psy and then rom instead launch). Japan players actually made a table, if someone can dig it up again and translate that would be awesome.

I always wanted to break down marvel but I don’t know anyone near me that wants to help set up, test, and analyze things. It’s all about brain dead matches unfortunately which bore me.

Also, IM is already broken, he has an unblockable (not guard break) which I haven’t seen anyone use yet.

in the wong vs soo 5on5, i dont understand why sentinel got dizzy when guardbroken into 1 lk.

Don’t remember that match exactly, but if you rom sentinel until near dizzy then snap out, and he comes back in, he retains the stun and is easily dizzy. This is why you should reset around 20 hits.

edit: Just youtubed the match and watched on Naruto’s channel. Mag did rom on Sent, Sent gained stun, then reset, Sent gained additional stun, then combo into snap, which added even more stun. It did not reset.

2 seconds have to go by without being hit in order for stun to reset. If anyone can pull a 2 second mind fuck then you officially are god of mvc2

is that 2 human seconds or 2 seconds on the marvel clock lol?

perhaps causing flying screen with mags, call doom crossover, keep em in stun and then get a hit would be long enough.
