I also feel that way but ya know it just could be the characters he like. I’m half way sure if those characters weren’t in there he probably wouldn’t play the game. I’m basing this on what I see in other people when I see them play low tiers. Like me if I don’t like the characters I won’t bother playing the game and wasting my time. The game better be fun as hell for me to ignore my love for characters, and play competitively which MvC2 pulls off nice.
I have a question about the videos that you host. I know that you prefer wmv w/500 bitrate but what requirements do you have for the video it self. I ask this because most of the match videos that I have seen on you site aren’t edited very much and the person who is recording says the name of the players before. In videos that i make I usually put a text overlay of the people who are playing and how many matches are left to win (because my voice sucks), would this be acceptable video presentation?
That’s fine too.
A: I say the player names when I start the video because it’s an easy guide when later encoding the videos. Since the frame is only of the game typically, there would be no other easy guide to identify who was playing (unless they have a unique team, which is unusual).
B: I do try to title the videos helpfully too, so you can seek on players or characters/teams. shrug It all works, though. :tup:

I’ve captured two more tapes (4 and 5), but haven’t encoded them yet. Probably won’t have time to encode anything more until this weekend. The Q9450 processors are still massively backordered by everybody with Intel, supposedly, so maybe it shows up next week, maybe not. =P Thankfully it looks like the current encoding wasn’t glitchy, so maybe I fixed the problem with my current PC.
I’ve scoped the Search page down to 200 results max for now because it was being used by idiots to feed their download accelerators. STOP USING THOSE, THEY’RE BROKEN. It was meant to be a Search page, not a leech page. :lol: (I realize I just need to put brakes in place for the abusive ones, but that takes time I haven’t had.)

Personally i feel that once you begin to learn the characters, they become fun.
I’ve never meet anyone that doesn’t believe that Mag, Storm, Sent, Cable are fun characters once you learn to play them “Good”
But thats the whole playing to win vs playing for fun argument.

Did magnetoX’s Sentinel get scarier or something i was watching trashday and other videos and he seemed like he didn’t play sent, but in these matches it looked like sentinel was his main guy like that comeback at the end.

Hey zach, do you have a copy of FrankDaDank vs. Hustleman, I think it was from a Southcenter tourney. Mandel had it on his myspace vids, but we were having issues viewing it on Saturday. I did a search for Hustleman on your site, but it was not among the scant few that turned up. It’s the match with like 30 tag-ins.

Basically I made a video it’s a cross between a combo video, tutorial video, and new findings video.
I have to transfer it onto my computer and edit it. However once that’s done I need a place to host it.

Actually, this happened to be the one that I was talking about. Thanks, Preppy. I think it was more entertaining last weekend because the web-embedded video quality was much lower, and you couldn’t really tell what they were trying to do. All I saw were the repeated tags.
